Barcelona eventually won the Spanish La Liga Wednesday evening with an unconvincing display that ended in a 1-1 draw with Levante.

Pep Guardiola's team only needed one point from the match to secure the title for the third year running and they managed it with relative ease.

Seydou Keita scored the champions only goal of the night with a header that he met from a Xavi free kick in the 27th minute.

Levante drew level in the 41st minute when Felipe Caicedo managed to get the better of Barca keeper Victor Valdes, and although Lionel Messi tried his best to secure the victory for the Catalan side, the closest he got to scoring was a shot played off the post.

Neither side got any closer to scoring and the last 10 minutes seemed like a passing exhibition as both teams seemed to be happy with the point apiece. Barca simply held the ball in their own half and Levante were happy to oblige with no challenges being made.

At the final whistle the celebrations started as the Barcelona team reveled in their 21st La Liga title and third in successive years.

The seasons trophy search continues for the all mighty Barca as they now look forward to the

Champions League Final at Wembley later this month in the colossal tie against Manchester United.
