Fantasy Baseball Free Agent Pool – 2011 Speed Demons Vol. 3

Just because you’ve slipped behind in the Stolen Base category doesn’t mean you can’t catch up.  Here are some reasonably available stolen base options.

Julio Borbon, Texas Rangers:  Borbon has four stolen bases in the past 15 days while hitting .359 with six runs and seven RBI. On the year he’s hitting .284 with nine runs, 11 RBI, and six stolen bases. Julio is owned in seven percent of Yahoo! and 19.2 percent of ESPN leagues.

Will Venable, San Diego Padres:  Venable has four stolen bases in the past 15 days while hitting .289 with eight runs and two RBI. On the year he’s hitting .225 with 15 runs, six RBI, and ten stolen bases. Will is owned in five percent of Yahoo! and 2.6 percent of ESPN leagues.

Carlos Gomez, Milwaukee Brewers:  Gomez has two stolen bases in the past 15 days while hitting .233 with four runs and five RBI. On the year he’s hitting .242 with 18 runs, two HRs, 12 RBI, and eight stolen bases. Carlos is owned in eight percent of Yahoo! and 21 percent of ESPN leagues.

Jason Bourgeois, Houston Astros:  Bourgeois is on the 15-day disabled list with an oblique strain, but is a player worth stashing when he returns. He has 12 stolen bases on the year, including seven in the last seven games before his DL stint. Jason is owned in 13 percent of Yahoo! and 20.5 percent of ESPN leagues.
