Pacquiao vs Mosley: Pacquiao Teams with 50 Cent Rival Rick Ross for Ring Intro
Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KO's) has reached out to some unexpected help in platinum selling artist Rock Ross in preparation to face welterweight legendary "Sugar" Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KO's).
According to craveonline.com, Ross and Pacquiao were selected to be a part of Nike's "Boom" ad campaign.
After a recent meeting, Pacquiao asked Ross to accompany him during his entrance to the ring this Saturday night against Mosley.
Ross says he believes so much in Pacquiao that he plans to place a million dollars on the fight.
One topic of note is the fact that Ross has had an ongoing feud with rapper 50 Cent.
50 Cent is best friends with Pacquiao rival Floyd Mayweather Jr.
These leads to some interesting speculation.
Some may speculate that Pacquiao will use Ross to further call out Mayweather, who Ross himself had harsh words for Mayweather in the past.
The initial beef between the two was sparked by lyrics in the 2009 song, "Mafia Music." Many of the song's lyrics focus on Mayweather's friend 50 Cent, one line in particular questioned whether Mayweather deserved his current fortunes.
""That Mayweather money looking funny in the light."
"
Mayweather responded by calling Ross a cop, a reference to his rumored time as a correctional officer.
""If I need someone arrested I'll call him."
"
The beef was reportedly squashed in 2010, but siding with Pacquiao could easily reignite their feud and add fire to an already hot match.
First thing's first, Pacquiao has to beat Shane Mosley tonight in Vegas.
If Ross motivates Pacquiao to do so, more power to him.
