Tiger Woods: Will He Attend the Players Championship?
So they're sitting up there in that palace called the PGA Tour headquarters sequestered at the luxurious Players Club probably wondering what everyone else is wondering.
Will he or won't he?
Will Eldrick Tont Woods grace the Players Championship with his presence?
He's got until 5 p.m. today, Friday, and of course, he's taking it to the wire.
Test the waters out there and not too many are counting on him to show up next week.
It's all pretty simple. He's got this little knee-thingy and the Achilles-thingy, he's not crazy about the golf course, hasn't been able to practice so you add up one, plus one, plus one, plus one and you get three good reasons he might just sit this one out.
It's the very Euro thing to do, so Woody's thinking about following those other-side-of-the-pond trendsetters.
You'd think all those wonderful commercials with Craig T. Nelson doing his one-man-drama setting about the tournament would absolutely have everyone frothing to tee it up there at the TPC.
Or maybe not.
So while Tim Finchem and the rest of his henchmen squirm up there in Ponte Vedre Beach, the best we can do is offer them this advice:
Don't hold your breath.
