College Football Pick'em: Week 6 Results
Week 6 of the college football season is a wrap. Here at Walker-Sports, our College Football Pick’em teams left a little bit to be desired last week. However, that is what is to be expected when you go out and make a lot of underdog picks. Nonetheless, we man up to our picks and we claim them even if they are bad.
Ohio State 20 vs. Wisconsin 17: Nothing like a little magic from your stud freshman to lock up a must-win conference game on the road. And it must be pretty nice to have the services of Beanie Wells at your disposal as well.
USC 44 vs. Oregon 10: The spread was 16, but the Trojans were out for revenge. USC came out and showed why they should still be considered among the nation's elite teams.
Vanderbilt 14 vs. Auburn 13: I don’t believe that Vanderbilt is the real deal. I do think that Auburn’s offense is one of the worst I have ever seen. Nonetheless, Vandy went out and took care of business.
Illinois 45 vs. Michigan 20: The Rich Rodriguez era is here, but the players are not. One week after showing a gutsy performance in the Big House, the Wolverines were unable to carry it over. Imagine what the Wolverines could do if they had Juice Williams on their roster.
Oklahoma 49 vs. Baylor 17: Well, people laughed at us for taking Baylor in this game, but the 27-point spread was appealing. Too bad they lost by 32. Typically these are the trap games for the Oklahoma Sooners. Maybe Bob Stoops and Co. are ready to turn the corner on a new beginning.
Florida State 41 vs. Miami 39: Got to admit I did not see this game being the barnburner that it was. Florida State showed they still have some fight left in them. More importantly, they showed they finally have a stud at running back for the first time since Warrick Dunn left Tallahassee.
Straight up: 17-16
Against the Spread: 11-20
