Professional Athletes: Ego's, Attitudes and The Fan!
I for one, am totally tired of millionaires who act like jerks.
Me, me, me!
Do any of these people remember how hard life is for the common working joe; their fans, parents, friends and all who watch the antics of spoiled children, not professional athletes.
Yes, there are good examples of stars who give back to the community and work with kids and charities. Players involved in The United Way, local events, and other great charitable ideas.
Then there are those that whine constantly for attention.
You have been blessed with good genes producing more ability and physical attributes than most people. Many would give their left arm to make millions of dollars playing a sport!
Do you remember the days you spent before becoming rich? Did money relieve you of all class and sense?
Please spend a couple days with a working family struggling to keep their head above water with every day expenses, like keeping the electricity on, feeding their kids, paying the house payment and rent, and so on! These are your fans who escape the every day grind rooting for their team and you!
How can you act this way?
I beg you, please shut the hell up!
Chad Johnson! Were you an orphan? How does your mom and dad feel about you not wanting the surname you were given when they raised you and got you to where you are in life!
Terrell Owens! Every time you feel like not enough plays went your way, multiply those plays by 1000 dollars each and go find a struggling family somewhere or a single mother living in a shelter and give them a grand for each play you got left out! You might feel better ya big crybaby!
That basketball player who didn't like The National Anthem! Not your song huh? You have made such an impact in sports, I forgot your name! Lol! Oh yeah, Josh Howard? I think so!
Respect your country that gives you the freedom to be all you can be! Respect your supporters by being humble. Have some humility, work hard, support your team and community where you live and don't act like a circle fly attractant!
You can be remembered as a great person or a jerk. It is all up to you!
It is never too late to apologize to whoever needs one and start working on being someone we can all look back on and smile, what a great player and great person he or she was! Try to remember what all our parents told us growing up, i'm sure. Put your brain in gear before your mouth in motion.
Don't attract circle flies! What are those you ask?
A hard working farmer was speeding along to make it back to supper one night after a long drive into town for supplies. A State Trooper pulled him over and starting really laying into him, being downright rude and obnoxious even! While writing the farmer his ticket, a fly kept buzzing around the troopers face, irritating him to no end!
He kept swatting at it and cursing and carrying on. The farmer looked up and said that circle fly bugging you, officer? The trooper looked down and said loudly: circle fly? I never heard of those before.
The farmer replied: those are the flies that buzz around a horses rear end and he has to keep swishing his tail all the time to keep them off.
The officer turned red and said are you calling me a horses ass?
The farmer said: oh no sir i have way to much respect for the law to ever do that. But them flies get confused pretty easy!
Don't act like a horses ass!
