Fantasy Football's Week 6 "Dark Horses"

Football ManiaxsOct 9, 2008

By John Arias.

Having four teams off this week will surely be a time to look at the waiver wire for a bye-week replacement. Waiver wire picks are tremendously important to any fantasy team, which lead to this week's Dark Horses for week 6.

These seven, sleepers of sort, players below should be able to make a considerable contribution for your fantasy team this week.

Bobby Engram, WR, Seattle Seahawks:
Engram played very well on Sunday in his first game on the season. Last year, he and Matt Hasselbeck had a great relationship and that continued to progress against the Giants. He led the team in receptions and yards in the defeat versus the Giants.

The Seahawks will host the Packers and it should be a shootout. Without Al Harris the Packers have struggled and Charles Woodson continues to play with a bad toe. It all adds up as a great day for Engram.

Prediction: 9 receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown.

Vincent Jackson, WR, San Diego Chargers:
Jackson has been an enigma so far this year. He is not being targeted as much but...

has 17 receptions for 302 yards this year. Leading receiver Chris Chambers is likely out this week, making Jackson the number one option. If available, pick him up and do not hesitate to start him.

Prediction: 6 receptions for 88 yards.

Greg Olsen, TE, Chicago Bears:
The second year player is starting to become a focal point in the offense. Last week he had his best game. He had three catches for a season high 87 yards. The Bears will play the Atlanta Falcons and it should be a high scoring game. Look for Olsen to have a big day.

Prediction: 5 receptions for 68 yards.
