WWE Superstar of the Week: Apr.10-16 (Edge)

As unbelievable as it sounds, Edge is retiring from the WWE. On Raw, Edge stated that due to complications from his broken neck (which was injured eight years ago) he is being forced to retire. For Edge's retirement I will use this edition of SOTW to highlight some Edge's amazing stats and accomplishments.

First, I will show the championships Edge has won over his career.

Edge is a:

• 1 time United States Champion
• 5 Time Intercontinental Champion
• 14 Time Tag Team Champion (seven reigns with Christian)
• 4 Time WWE Champion
• 7 Time World Heavyweight Champion

Now for some of Edge's accomplishments:

• Edge is the fourteenth WWE Triple Crown Champion.
• Edge won the 2001 King of the Ring (He defeated Test, Perry Saturn, Rhyno, and Kurt Angle)
• Edge is a two time Mr. Money in the Bank (2005 and 2007)
• Edge won the 2010 Royal Rumble match

Edge's career has spanned nearly twenty years and countless storylines and angles. Edge has had many partners over the years including; Gangrel, Randy Orton, and Christian. Edge is also known for being the "Rated "R" Superstar." One of his most Rated R moments occurred on Raw after he won his first WWE Championship. Edge and then "girlfriend" Lita preformed a live sex celebration on Raw. The celebration was interrupted by Ric Flair and John Cena before anything major could happen, but that moment will live on forever in Raw's history.
