Phillies Lifetime Phan Clan Membership

Back in the late 1970's & 1980's I received a publication from the Phillies

which was called The Phan-O-Gram. The one issue dated April 1990

had a deal for $25 one time membership fee & you became a Lifetime

Phillies Phan Clan Member and the one benefit that interested me the

most was "Priority during public sale of Post Season tickets when

Phillies are involved". So getting this was a no-brainer.

Well just a few years pass when the Phillies made the 1993 Post Season

(previously made 1983 Post Season) and the ticket office gave me a hassle

but I finally got two tickets to one game of the Atlanta series and then two

tickets to one game of the 1993 World Series.

(I attended the 6th game of the 1980 World Series & 2 games of the 1983 WS)

Well many years past and finally the Phillies returned to the Post Season

and I won the Lottery for the Division Series last year and attended the first

game of the Colorado series.

This year I was at the Division clinching game on Saturday night September 27th

and produced my Phillies Phan Clan Lifetime membership card at the ticket window

and I realized they would again give me a hard time.

So after a few email and faxes and mentioning the word 'Lawyer' they decided

to give me 2 tickets for Game 7 of the Championship Series which is currently

scheduled for next Saturday October 18th.

This Monday I go in for a procedure a Heart Cauterization

and hopefully next Saturday I'll enjoy a Phillies clinching victory

and a ride to the 2008 World Series.

Hopefully against the 2008 Boston Red Sox

and a grudge match from that 1915 World Series beating they gave us.

So Go Phillies and onward to our 2nd Championship season.
