Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.

Kansas City Royals @ Minnesota Twins

Chris Getz went two for five with a run and an RBI to raise his average to .342. Melky Cabrera went two for five with two runs. He’s hitting .286. Alex Gordon is hitting .346 after going two for five with a run and two RBI. Jeff Francoeur went two for four with a run and two RBI to raise his average to .292. Wilson Betemit went one for four with two runs. He’s hitting .379. Mike Aviles went two for four with a run and three RBI. Alcides Escobar went two for four with a run and an RBI. Mike Tolbert went two for five with a run to raise his average to .300. Jason Kubel went two for five with a run and an RBI to raise his average to .325.

Texas Rangers @ Detroit Tigers

Will Rhymes went two for four. Brennan Boesch went two for four with a run, an RBI and a stolen base. He’s hitting .297. Brandon Inge smacked a two-run homer. David Murphy went one for four with an RBI and two stolen bases. He’s hitting .300.  Julio Borbon went two for three. Max Scherzer gave up two runs with seven strikeouts in six innings, but did not factor into the decision.

Oakland A’s vs. Chicago White Sox

Conor Jackson went two for four with two runs and a stolen base. Hideki Matsui went two for four with a home run. Daric Barton was one for one with two RBI. Cliff Pennington went two for three with two RBI.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Seattle Mariners

Yunel Escobar went three for five with a run and an RBI to raise his average to .438. Corey Patterson went two for give with a run. He’s hitting .429. Jayson Nix went two for four with a run and a stolen base to raise his average to .310. Jose Molina went three for four with a run and two RBI. He’s hitting .353. Adam Kennedy went two for four to raise his average to .333. Jason Vargas gave up one run on five hits with seven strikeouts in six innings, but did not factor into the decision.

Florida Marlins @ Atlanta Braves

Chris Coghlan went three for four with a run and two RBI to raise his average to .271.

Cincinnati Reds @ San Diego Padres

Chase Headley went two for four with a run. Orlando Hudson stole his fifth base. Drew Stubbs went three for five with a run. Travis Wood gave up one run on five hits with five strikeouts in 6.2 innings, but did not factor into the decision.

Philadelphia Phillies @ Washington Nationals

Placido Polanco raised his average to .370 by going two for three. Adam LaRoche went two for four. Oh, and Roy Halladay threw a complete game.

Milwaukee Brewers @ Pittsburgh Pirates

Matt Diaz went two for four. Shaun Marcum gave up four hits in seven scoreless innings to improve to 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA.

Colorado Rockies @ New York Mets

Jonathan Herrera went two for four with a run and two stolen bases to raise his average to .474. Todd Helton went two for four with an RBI.

Baltimore Orioles @ New York Yankees

Jorge Posada went two for four with his fourth home run. A.J. Burnett gave up four runs in 6.1 innings, but improved to 3-0.

Cleveland Indians @ Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Michael Brantley went three for five with a run and an RBI to raise his average to .311. Adam Everett went two for five with a run.

Chicago Cubs @ Houston Astros

Darwin Barney went two for four with a run and an RBI. Jeff Baker went two for five with a run and an RBI. Matt Downs went two for three with a home run and two RBI.

St. Louis Cardinals @ Arizona Diamondbacks

Ryan Theriot went two for four with two runs to raise his average to .304. Lance Berkman went one for three with two runs, a Grand Slam and five RBI. He’s hitting .293. David Freese went two for five with a run and an RBI to raise his average to .324. Skip Schumaker hit a three run homer. Gerald Laird went three for five with two runs. Russell Branyan went two for four with two runs and a two-run homer. Melvin Mora went two for four with an RBI.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Francisco Giants

Aaron Rowand went two for four with a run to raise his average to .367. Aubrey Huff went two for three with an RBI. Brandon Belt went two for three with a run. Mike Fontenot went two for three with a run, a home run and two RBI. Marcus Thames went one for two with two runs. Aaron Miles went three for four with an RBI. Sergio Romo struck out two in a scoreless inning.
