Fantasy Football Week 6 Rankings: Quarterbacks
Just when you think you have your quarterback situation under control,Trent Edwards and Brian Griese get knocked out and for the second straight Kyle Orton wins a game for the Chicago Bears through good passing and touchdowns. Carson Palmer tripled his season total of touchdowns at Dallas and Ben Roethlisberger looked masterful in throwing for 309 yards and helping lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to a come-from-behind win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
So even though we don’t need to say it every week, here it is again anyway. It is now more important than ever to check out the Bruno Boysweekly positional rankings to help determine who should start and who should sit. With that being said, we bring to you the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 6 Quarterback Rankings.

1. Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints) vs. Oakland Raiders
Whether you’ve noticed it or not, Brees is quietly putting together an MVP-type of season for the New Orleans Saints. Brees entered the Minnesota game as the league’s third-highest rated passer and he has, despite missing wide receiver Marques Colston, helped New Orleans lead the NFL in passing yards per game. Oakland ranks 19th in passing yards allowed and 22nd in points allowed so we’re looking for another big game out of Brees.
Point Projection: 24 Points

2. Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys) at Arizona
Even on the days when Dallas doesn’t play so well, Romo still gets his points. Though the Cowboys almost let a 17-point lead slip away to the lowly Bengals last week, Romo still got three touchdown passes. This week, Dallas plays at Arizona, a team that likes to blitz often. However, if there’s one area where Dallas is underrated at, it would be picking up blitzes. Expect another good game from Romo this week.

3. Brett Favre (New York Jets) vs. Cincinnati
Two weeks ago the Jets finally opened the playbook for Brett Favre and look what happens: A personal record five touchdown passes for Favre not to mention a mammoth win over a decent Arizona Cardinals team. Favre and the Jets had a bye last week, giving the quarterback even more time to adjust to his new team and prepare for the upcoming game against Cincinnati. The Bengals have been more resilient in the past few games, but that didn’t stop Romo from throwing three touchdown passes, including two in the second half.
Point Projection: 22 Points

4. Jay Cutler (Denver Broncos) vs. Jacksonville
Tampa Bay was able to limit the scoring opportunities for Cutler and the Broncos last week by the Broncos still threw the ball 37 times while their lead running back rushed just 10 times. Denver is a throwing team and Cutler is the leader behind it, which is a good thing this week as the Broncos host the Jaguars. Jacksonville ranks 26th in passing yards allowed, 21st in total yards allowed and 16th in points allowed. Though Cutler’s output from a fantasy perspective was low last week, it should come back up against the Jaguars.
Point Projection: 21 Points

5. Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) at Seattle
One week after having one his worst games of his young career, Rodgers bounced back from the loss to Tampa Bay and threw for 313 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Sure Green Bay lost to Atlanta in that game, but in the fantasy, losing is not a concern. Seeing Rodgers bounce back from a game we he played poorly and injured the shoulder of his throwing arm was vital. It shows that while he still has some room to grow that he’s already taking huge steps in his personal progression as a quarterback and that what happens in the past won’t negatively affect him in the future. Seattle is all kinds of a mess right now so don’t hesitate to start Rodgers this week.

6. Eli Manning (New York Giants) at Cleveland
There might not be a bigger mismatch here than Manning versus the Browns secondary. Cleveland is coming off a much needed bye week but will need a lot of luck and some incredible gameplanning to stop Manning and the Giants in this one. Domenik Hixon and Sinorice Moss are both starting to step up at receiver for New York and did we mention that star wideout Plaxico Burress returns for this game? It’s going to get ugly for Cleveland.
Point Projection: 20 Points
