2011 NFL Predictions: 5 Bold Predictions for Most Valuable Player in 2011
Let us pray that there will be an NFL season in 2011. If there isn't, I might go crazy and lock myself in my room for months.
Assuming we will have a season, who will be the breakout players? What players will have the most impact on their team and in the league.
Yes, this is very early, but it's something that's always enjoyable to discuss.
Who do you think will be the 2011 Most Valuable Player?
Last season, New England Patriots Tom Brady was honored with the award and was the first player to receiver all 50 votes from the AP writers.
I have compiled a list of five bold predictions for next year's MVP race.
My predictions are for possible candidates for the award, as I am predicting that these players will have a huge season in 2011.
Feel free to tell me what you think, I welcome all kinds of comments—enjoy!

5. Michael Vick
1 of 5
If the Philadelphia Eagles can keep their stud quarterback Michael Vick healthy, Vick will be one of the league's best player.
2010 was a resurrection of Vick's career, and he took the opportunity and ran with it.
Vick proved to the league that he could be a prolific passer while still maintaining his unique running abilities.
In 2011, I strongly believe that Vick will rush for 1,000 yards while throwing at least 3,500 yards.
For fantasy players out there, Vick will likely score the most touchdowns out of any player in 2011—he's just that dominant.
4. Peyton Manning
2 of 5
2010 was a relatively down year for the Indianapolis Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning.
Manning still posted a 91.9 passer rating, which is considerably low for the elite passer, and he threw a total of 33 touchdowns. However, Manning did throw an unusually high amount of interceptions with 17.
One thing I can guarantee about Manning is that he will always compete to the best of his ability. When competitors have a down year, like Manning did, he will come back the next season going 500 miles-per-hour.
Any teams who are facing Manning in 2011, watch out. He will be a likely path of redemption and another impressive season as a quarterback.
3. Chris Johnson
3 of 5
Running back Chris Johnson fell short of his goal of the NFL record for rushing yards in 2010, but he still posted huge numbers. Johnson accumulated 1,364 yards on the ground while gaining 245 through the air.
Johnson is still one of the league's elite running backs, as he's one year removed from his 2,006 yard rushing season in 2009.
The Tennessee Titans will likely struggle next season, with the likes of a new head coach Mike Munchak and a huge question mark at quarterback. So, Johnson will be the go-to man in the Titans' offense—expect big numbers from Johnson in 2011.
2. Jamaal Charles
4 of 5
This is my sleep pick for the 2011 MVP.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles had an unbelievable 2010 season, and it hasn't been recognized enough.
Charles ran for 1,467 yards on only 230 attempts. Charles split carries with other running back Thomas Jones, and Charles ran for an unreal average of 6.4 yards per carry.
With such a high per-carry average, Charles is by far the most explosive and consistent running back in the NFL.
As Jones gets older and Charles enters the prime of his career, expect Charles to get a lot more touches in 2011. Just imagine how stellar his numbers will be then.
1. Tom Brady
5 of 5
What is there to say about Tom Brady? He an elite quarterback, and in my opinion, the league's best player—hands down.
In 2011, Brady will be turning 34, but he has shown no signs of stopping.
The reigning MVP will likely be the front runner in 2011 to receive such honors.
The Patriots quarterback had a record-breaking 2010 season as he only threw four interceptions. Brady is also on one of the most impressive streaks in NFL history: 335 pass attempts without an interception.
New England has two young tight ends in Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, and they're only going to get better—which means Brady's numbers will get better as well.
The MVP award will be handed out in just under a year, but my prediction is that Brady will be the 2011 NFL Most Valuable Player.
