Injury Nightmare Continues For Drogba And Chelsea

Chelsea’s injury list refuses to stop acquiring names so far this season.

As soon as we got John Obi Mikel back, Michael Essien went out long-term. We got Ballack and Drogba back, if a little short on fitness – only to see both Ricardo Carvalho and Deco ruled out through injury. Next to be added to our growing casualties was Joe Cole, followed last night by our latest absentee in the form of Ashley Cole who was ruled out with lower back pain.

And as if that wasn’t enough already, midway through the game against CFR Cluj we were confronted with the sight of Didier Drogba writhing around in genuine pain. And the early news on the Ivorian isn’t good – ligament damage and suspected fracture.
