WWE Superstar of the Week: Mar. 13-19 (The Return of the Celtic Warrior)

Well Bleachers, the streak has come to an end. Sheamus' losing streak of 19 straight was finally snapped when King Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan to win the United States Championship. But I'm getting ahead of myself, so let me go back to last week.

Last week, after Sheamus was defeated by Daniel Bryan, Sheamus decided to put his career on the line by challenging Bryan for his United States Championship. If Sheamus lost then he would quit the WWE.

The match took place on Monday and was a very good bout. Both men tested each other and was very hard for either of them to get the upper hand. However, when Daniel Bryan came off the top rope, Sheamus delivered a fantastic Brogue Kick that sealed the win—Sheamus was just getting started.

On Smackdown, Sheamus took on the Intercontinental Champion, Kofi Kingston. This was a fast paced match that had everything you would expect from a match involving Kofi. Again, Sheamus came out on top after delivering a Brogue Kick to the head of Kofi Kingston.

Now Sheamus can begin his winning streak, for he is now 2-0. It finally looks like Sheamus is back to being the Celtic Warrior, and I could not be happier about that. It will be interesting to see what the WWE creatives decide to do with Sheamus. Most likely he will defend this championship against Daniel Bryan, where he will hopefully retain. Sheamus should then have a nice long run as United States Champion.

With Sheamus finally snapping his losing streak, winning the United States Championship, and defeating Kofi Kingston on Smackdown, there is no doubt in my mind that Sheamus is the Superstar of the Week.
