NFL Offseason Two-A-Days: Miami Dolphins

Ryan FryeFeb 24, 2011

This idea originated from ESPN's Mike and Mike. Here is my preview for the Miami Dolphins:

5. Is Chad Henne a QB that you can build a team around?

No. I remember when I did this series before the season I said Mark Sanchez was better than Chad Henne.

Most disagreed with that statement, but I still stand by it.

Henne's stats were bad last season and the coaching staff looked to have lost all faith in him when they benched him in favor of oft-injured, Chad Pennington.

Henne is an average NFL quarterback, not one you can build your team around. I know some are going to call me an idiot for that, but go ahead.

4. Was WR Brandon Marshall's first season in Miami a success?

86 catches 1,014 yards. Does that sound like a failure to you?

Yeah, I don't think so either.

3. Does Head Coach Tony Sporano still have the respect of Miami's locker room?

It's a difficult situation that Miami's ownership brought upon itself. I like Sporano as a coach, but I'm not sure that the players can respect him after what happened.

How do you respect your coach when you know ownership was looking for his replacement?

It's destined to fail at this point.

2. What is the Dolphins' top priority in the NFL Draft and/or free agency?

With Ronnie Brown's and Ricky Williams' future in jeopardy, Mark Ingram could be a possible pick at 15.

Jake Locker would be a reach and I'm not sure the Dolphins want to address the QB situation in the draft.

1. Stock: Rising or Falling?

Falling.

You have many unsure futures with this team, which is never a good thing.

Combine that with the fact that all the divisional rivals are rising and it may not be pretty in Miami in 2011.
