NFL Offseason Two-a-Days: St. Louis Rams

Ryan FryeFeb 23, 2011

This idea originated from ESPN's Mike & Mike. Here is my Rams preview:

5. What was the most impressive thing about Sam Bradford's rookie year performance?

He never went through the growing pains a rookie always goes through.

His completion percentage was great with one the the worst receiving corps in the National Football League. Think about how better weapons would help Bradford.

He did take a team from 2-14 to 7-9.

4. Is Steven Jackson still one of the premiere runners in the league?

I think Jackson is still one of the best running backs in the league. However, St. Louis needs to get somebody to take some of the load off of him.

A speed back would be ideal. Jackson has taken a beating, partly because he's been a good player on a bad team.

3. Is DE Chris Long on the verge of becoming a Pro Bowl defender?

Before last season, he was beginning to look like a bust, but he improved.

I don't know about Pro Bowl, because if you look at the defensive ends in the National Football Conference, there are still guys ahead of Long. Examples would be Trent Cole, Osi Umenyiora, John Abraham and Jullius Peppers. Forgive me if I'm forgetting others.

2. What is the Rams' top priority in the NFL Draft and/or free agency?

As mentioned earlier, the Rams need a dynamic wide receiver.

In the draft, they could pick Julio Jones or Torrey Smith. Smith may be considered a reach at No. 14, but he'd provide the Rams with what they need.

1. Stock: Rising or Falling?

Hmm...Bad division, young emerging QB. What do you say? I say the stock is rising and the Rams could very well win the NFC West in 2011.

Ryan is 15 and a volunteer scout for the Atlanta Falcons.
