Carlos Tevez: Will He Be Joining His Fellow Countrymen at The Camp Nou?

Mike GoncalvesFeb 19, 2011

With the uncertainty of whether Carlos Tevez will be staying at Manchester City next year, there will surely be a lot of high-profile teams interested in his acquisition.

The most recent rumor is that Barcelona are very interested in making an offer for arguably one of the hardest working forwards in the game today. Tevez has made a name for himself since arriving in the EPL because of his ability to track back as well as being able to be a nightmare for the opposing back line.

In the world today, there are very few strikers who are willing to or even asked to track back as far as Tevez does at times. I could possibly think of one off the top of my head, and he goes by the name of Wayne Rooney.

Tevez is now making €300,000 per week, which makes him the highest-paid player in the EPL. When he signed a contract with the Citizens, he had in his contract that they had to make him the highest paid in the EPL.

Tevez has been looking to get more money from the Manchester City owners but they don’t seem too interested in doing that. It’s been said that the highest they will go is adding on an additional €45,000 to his weekly salary, which I don’t think Tevez is too fond about.

Would Carlos Tevez be a good fit for an already unbelievable Barcelona squad? Where would he fit in?

It will remain to be seen, but it would appear that Tevez would gladly welcome an opportunity to move to a team like Barcelona.
