More Bad News for Batista

According to published reports Batista requested to take time off following WrestleMania 24, but management talked him out of it due to the lack of roster depth. Batista feels that he will never return to his status of three years ago when he was the top star. He has talked about starting an acting career.

Which is good for the WWE but bad for Batista, I mean when is the last time he had time off? It would be three years ago, no wonder he is contemplating retirement. He has stayed uninjured, so he has been in the lineup every week.

John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, The Undertaker, and many other big stars, have had time off, but for injury purposes. Batista has been injury free for a good while, and when he does get an injury it never lasts long. So obviously since everyone else has been out, he has to fill the shoes.

And that takes a toll on him. If you recall ECW is starting anew superstar initiative, which will bring in younger superstars, and that is the main reason for them being on RAW. Rey Mysterio is really the only other big name face other than Micheals, behind Batista on the RAW roster.

CM Punk is getting there but they want him to have a feud with Orton for now, and stay away from the World Title picture. Rey Mysterio is in a feud with Kane again out of the title picture. So really Micheals may be the only one left to help out Batista.

RAW has many heels, so that is why they have been throwing around the possibility of a face turn for Randy Orton, that is if Cena doesn't come back for a while. Which he is not scheduled to come back for at least five to six more months at the most seven or nine.

Batista may be fatigued, but since Jericho turned heel to have the Micheals feud there isn't any help for the Animal. HE may have to retire from being to fatigued by the time he gets a break. Like what was said earlier he wants to pursue acting, and the WWE has been giving him more mic time to hone his skills.

However it isn't the same as studio work for him and during his time off which could be in about six to nine months he may do a little acting, but that is yet to be determined. WWE bette do something fast or they may lose Batista, he is a great superstar.

But even the greats need a break now and again. What do you think should the WWE give Batista his time off he so richly needs?
