NBA Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts from February 13th

Ryan LesterFeb 14, 2011

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night:

Glen Davis, Boston Celtics
Big Baby scored 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-4 FT) with four rebounds, two assists and two steals. He hasn’t been as effective since Kendrick Perkins returned.

Josh Howard, Washington Wizards
Howard scored 16 points (6-11 FG, 1-1 FT, 3-6 3PM) with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. He got the start and could put up numbers for the Wizards.

Darrell Arthur and Tony Allen, Memphis Grizzlies
Arthur scored 24 points (8-11 FG, 8-10 FT) with six rebounds, an assist, a steal and two blocks. He’s just not productive enough for fantasy purposes. Allen added 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-6 FT) with two rebounds and three steals. He’s averaging 18.0 points and 3.3 steals in his past three games.

Tracy McGrady and Will Bynum, Detroit Pistons
T-Mac scored 16 points (6-12 FG, 3-4 FT, 1-1 3PM) with two rebounds, five assists and three steals. He has slowed of late but still gives you a little of every category. Bynum added 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-3 FT) with five rebounds, four assists and four steals. He’s averaging 14.8 points in his past four games.

Brian Cook, Los Angeles Clippers
Cook scored 17 points (6-11 FG, 2-2 FT, 3-5 3PM) with six rebounds. His outburst came out of nowhere so don’t get carried away with him.

Ed Davis, Toronto Raptors
Davis scored 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 FT) with 14 rebounds to complete the double-double. He also had an assist, a steal and three blocks. Davis has 27 rebounds in his past two games.

Carl Landry and Donte Greene, Sacramento Kings
Landry scored 20 points (7-15 FG, 6-8 FT) with 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals. He’s been slow of late but played 40 minutes in this one. If he gets steady playing time, he can be effective. Greene added 19 points (7-10 FG, 4-5 FT, 1-2 3PM) with four rebounds and two steals. He combined for 14 points in his previous four games so this outburst does not make him a fantasy option.
