UFC 130: Rashad Evans vs. Rampage Jackson 2 Rumors Heat Up
It didn't take long for Rashad Evans to find an opponent after his knee injury knocked him out of a title shot with Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
Now it seems the former light heavyweight champion will have a new test come UFC 130: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
Reports from MMAWeekly.com have it that Thiago Silva has been removed from his scheduled fight with Rampage at UFC 130.

With Silva gone, this opens the door for Rashad to step in and take the fight vs. Rampage.
Rashad and Rampage are no strangers to each other. Both fighters hate, and I mean hate, the very being of each other. They had numerous fights and spats leading up to their UFC 114 fight.
Reportedly, this weekend Rampage and Rashad were at a club and, well, things escalated. Apparently, Rampage slapped Rashad in the middle of public.
Funny, it seems their hatred for each other just took center stage at a very opportune time.
The last fight between the two came as a letdown to most of the people who were clamoring for this fight since they coached against each in The Ultimate Fighter.
The two of them coaching together made their relationship become even more heated, and you can tell that these two just have a complete disdain for each other.
Then came their UFC 114 bout, and Rashad came out with a unanimous decision after their three-round fight. The fight was a letdown after hearing these two talk so much trash about each other.
Now it could end up being considered a title eliminator fight. Winner goes on to face off against either Shogun or Jon Jones, depending on who wins their UFC 128 light heavyweight title bout. Or it could determine whether Rashad goes on to face the titleholder.
Only problem is, if Rashad beats Rampage and Jones beats Shogun, Rashad will not fight his former teammate. Have fun getting the two Greg Jackson teammates to fight.
The fight between Rampage and Rashad will be a co-main event fight on the same card that has Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard for the lightweight title.
UFC 130 just got a little more interesting.
