NBA: Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts From February 8th
Here is a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
Ike Diogu, Los Angeles Clippers
Diogu scored 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-5 FT) with five rebounds. He has been in double-figures in two of his past three games, but I would still leave him on the waiver wire at this point.
Jodie Meeks, Philadelphia 76ers
Meeks scored 16 points (5-11 FG, 4-5 FT, 2-5 3PM) with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. He is averaging 12.6 points and 1.2 steals in his past five games.
Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks
Williams scored ten points (5-10 FG) with 10 rebounds and a block. It was his second straight double-double. He’s averaging 11.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in three games since returning from a back injury.
DeJuan Blair, San Antonio Spurs
Blair scored 18 points (9-15 FG) with 12 rebounds with a steal. He is averaging 12.4 points and 10.4 rebounds in his past five games.
Will Bynum, Detroit Pistons
Bynum scored 21 points (9-13 FG, 3-3 FT) with two assists and a steal. The outburst was nice, but he has not been productive enough to merit fantasy ownership.
Tyler Hansbrough, Indiana Pacers
Hansbrough scored 18 points (6-6 FG, 6-7 FT) with two rebounds. He is averaging 13.2 points and 6.0 rebounds in his past five games.
Mario Chalmers, Miami Heat
Chalmers scored 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-2 FT, 2-7 3PM) with a rebound, two assists, and three steals. He’s a decent plug-in play if you’re looking for steals, but everything else is pretty spotty.
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Milwaukee Bucks
Mbah a Moute scored 10 points (3-6 FG, 4-7 FT) with 14 rebounds. He’s averaging 8.6 points and 9.8 rebounds in his past five games.
Tony Allen, Memphis Grizzlies
Allen scored 27 points (9-12 FG, 9-12 FT) with three rebounds, an assist, five steals, and three blocks. He got extra run with Rudy Gay (back) out. This is far from the norm for Allen.
Jonny Flynn and Wayne Ellington, Minnesota Timberwolves
Flynn scored 15 points (7-14 FG, 1-1 FT) with four rebounds, seven assists, and a steal. He’s playing well with Luke Ridnour out, so ride him while you can. Ellington added 18 points (6-10 FG, 4-4 FT, 2-3 3PM) with a rebound and four assists. He can perform when he gets the opportunity, but he remains as inconsistent as all the Wolves swing players.
Courtney Lee and Chuck Hayes, Houston Rockets
Lee scored 23 points (9-15 FG, 4-4 FT, 1-3 3PM) with three rebounds and two steals. Before you get too excited, remember he played the defenseless Wolves. Hayes added 10 points (5-10 FG) with 13 rebounds, four assists and five steals. His numbers could also be bloated, but he is averaging 12.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in his past four games.
