NBA: Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts From February 7th
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night:
Shaun Livingston & Gerald Henderson, Charlotte Bobcats
Livingston scored 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-6 FT) with four rebounds, three assists, a steal and, a block. He was in double-digits for a second straight game. If he continues to play at a higher level, he could be a fantasy option. Henderson added 15 points (5-13 FG, 5-5 FT) with four rebounds, two assists and, a block. I wouldn’t consider him a fantasy option. Kwame Brown had 12 boards if you need help in the rebounding category.
Jonny Flynn, Minnesota Timberwolves
Flynn scored 13 points (5-10 FG, 2-2 FT, 1-2 3PM) with two rebounds, six assists, two steals and, a block. He’s averaging 10.6 points and 6.0 assists in his past five games. He’s finally becoming a fantasy option.
Marco Belinelli, New Orleans Hornets
Belinelli scored 15 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3PM) with three rebounds, three assists, and a steal. I’d look elsewhere.
Sam Young, Memphis Grizzlies
Young scored 22 points (9-19 FG, 2-2 FT, 2-3 3PM) with three rebounds, an assist, and two steals. He’s averaging 15.2 points in his past five games.
Christian Eyenga, Cleveland Cavaliers
Eyenga scored 15 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3PM) with four rebounds. He’s scored in double-figures in his past four games, averaging 12.3 points over that span.
Shawn Marion, Dallas Mavericks
The Matrix scored 17 points (5-15 FG, 7-8 FT) with ten rebounds and a steal. He’s averaging 11.8 points and 9.0 rebounds in the past five games.
Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets
Lawson scored 19 points (6-13 FG, 7-10 FT) with six rebounds and five assists. He remains very inconsistent, but if Chauncey Billups’ knee keeps him out (or he’s traded) he could have great value.
Chuck Hayes, Houston Rockets
Hayes scored 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT) with ten rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block. He’s averaging 11.6 points and 8.8 rebounds in his past five games.
Kyle Korver, Chicago Bulls
Korver scored 14 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 FT, 3-4 3PM) with six rebounds. He’s nothing more than a decent plug-in play if you’re looking for three-pointers.
Rudy Fernandez, Portland Trail Blazers
Fernandez scored 18 points (6-10 FG, 8-9 FT, 2-3 3PM) with a rebound, two assists, and two steals. He’s averaging 18.0 points and 2.0 three-pointers in his past three games.
Raja Bell, Utah Jazz
Bell scored 17 points (8-15 FG, 1-2 FT) with an assist. He’s averaging 17.0 points in his past three games.
Reggie Williams, Golden State Warriors
Williams scored 19 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 FT, 1-2 3PM) with five rebounds. Unless he gets more steady minutes, I can’t trust his inconsistency.
