The rest of the show featured the continuation of CM Punk and Nexus as they wreaked havoc on the Raw roster. In particular, Punk instructed his Nexus crew to hurt, maim and destroy his future Elimination Chamber opponents. This plan came after Punk and Nexus beat up Orton early in the show.
Other victims of Punk's Nexus attacks were John Morrison and R-Truth. Morrison got sprayed in the eyes by some sort of aerosol can Punk used and then received a hard kick to the face. R-Truth was put in a vicious submission hold by Mason Ryan. Ryan continued to put the hold on Truth and did it a second time after the bell, resulting in the referee reversing his decision for the match.
At the end of the night, it was a main event of John Cena against CM Punk. Punk definitely wanted to save Cena for last. This was one competitor that wouldn't fall prey to Nexus' attacks though. Cena got himself disqualified in the match by hitting a low blow on Punk, then taunting Nexus to try to attack him. Thanks to a steel chair handed to Cena by Jerry Lawler, Cena was able to drive McGillicutty and Otunga out of the ring, while Mason Ryan checked on the fallen Nexus leader on the outside.
In other action, Eve Torres, Gail Kim and Tamina defeated The Bellas and Melina, while Jerry Lawler and Daniel Bryan took out Ted Dibiase and The Miz. Alex Riley tried his hand at commentary with Michael Cole and vowed that Lawler will not be WWE Champion in two week's time.
What did you think of tonight's episode of WWE Raw? Did tonight's episode make you more interested in the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, or about the same as before?
