So, I made it.. through a split with the spoiler Nationals. Agony, Ecstasy, happy, sad, bipolar, laughing, yelling, cheering, suffering from "Mets Tourrettes" characterized by grunting and hitting bulldog on the back every time Elijah Dukes came to bat for 4 games in a row. I'm exhausted, nervous, and still feel like an old school horror movie is rolling before my eyes...but alas, this is it....

So, last night...the guy sitting next to us yelled out "GOOD TRADE OMAR" every time Milledge struck out, or didn't hustle...or when Church or Schneider rocked it out (big kudos to the Brian Schneider for the CS on Dukie)... I thought the same thing most of the series...but last night was my "RYAN CHURCH T-SHIRT" night...and I always am just so proud when he rises to the occassion. It does no good to wonder how he would have been had he not played his heart out and concussed himself...but alas, I'm happy with him in my outfield any day! And the same goes for Daniell Murphy...Please please please...let him not get hurt in winter league...and please please please let him be our 2nd baseman. Can you just salivate with me now? Wright, Reyes, Murphy....sounds like a fierce law firm!

David Wright- I don't want to boo him...I don't want to yell at him. I want to hug him. I want his teammates to pick him up and not let him carry the entire world on his shoulders. He did last September to no avail. He's still the best...and he's still the heart of this team. Slumping- YES...but the METS have got to get past this...and so does he. So, the thoughts I'm sending down to Sweet Tea Land tonight revolve solely around our David...You are part of a team...just focus on the ball...see the ball...make the plays at 3rd...don't overplay...and remember, you ARE the NY METS...and the fans have your back. right!??!?!

It's been fun having Jason here the past two nights, though I'm wondering how I will ever mak

e it thru another Nats game this weekend...but for Jason, I will....I think I just need a night of sleep. A good night...and thankfully it's cooler now, so I'm not having heat strokes in my sleep! Also, poor Jason- he's a mariners' fan...and well...I don't have to say anymore...it's sweet of him to wish well on the METS...but I can't expect him to understand the sheer terror of this last weekend of baseball... I think something is wrong with me actually- b/c I can't think of anything else but the playoffs...and YES, I won the METS ticket lottery with a chance to buy 4 tickets to a divisional playoff game. That really puts a frog in my throat! And a pain in my side! argh...
