Super Bowl 2011: Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' Case for MVP
Aaron Rodgers has been doing his "championship belt" celebration the entire season.
On Sunday, he'll be able to back up his talk with a win in the Superbowl.
If the Packers do win, count on Rodgers winning the MVP. The stats are heavily in his favor.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Quarteback's win Superbowl MVP honors more than any other position. Overall, 23 QBs have won the award—easily the most of any position.
Furthermore, as the league becomes more and more pass oriented, QB's likelihood of winning the award only increased. To go with that point, an RB has not won the award in over 10 years, since Terrell Davis of the Broncos in 1998.
Speaking of running, Rodgers can do that as well. Behind Mike Vick, Rodgers is probably the best running QB in the league.
In his three seasons as a starting NFL QB, Rodgers has averaged over four rushing touchdowns a season.
Even if Rodgers does not break the end zone, he can use his legs to pick up key first downs throughout the game.
Because of injuries, the Packers just don't have many other viable MVP candidates either. Gone are TE Jermichael Finley and RB Ryan Grant, two Pro Bowl-caliber players.
RB James Starks has looked good in the playoffs, but is not a premier back in this league. And WR Donald Driver has been a productive player in this league for years, but at age 35, his best days are behind him.
WR Greg Jennings is certainly a possibility, but if he has a good game, Rodgers likely will as well, and as the stats show, QBs "own the tiebreaker" so to speak.
And while the Packers do have a great defense, don't count on anyone on that side of the ball winning the award. Only seven defensive players have won the award, the last one being Dexter Jackson in 2003.
In the Packers' storied history, only two players have won Superbowl MVP- Bart Starr (twice) and Desmond Howard (once).
With a win Sunday, Rodgers is the most logical pick to join that select group.
