Joe's wrestling 411

Well its that time of the week, my wrestling 411, lets get started shall we.

CM Punk is going to bat for a former WWE superstar, who has been rumored to come back a little over a week ago. Its none other than Joey Mercury we haven't seen him in about 2 years so it will be good to see him again.

And it looks like it will happen, WWE is in talks with Mercury. And where does Punk fit in to all of this? Well Joey happens to be a good pretty much lifelong friend, go figure.

On to John Morrison, it looks as if the WWE wants to give him a push to be a big time singles competitor, but they are reluctant to do so because of his goofy persona, and although charming with the ladies, not much of a smooth talker on the mic like a Cena, Orton, or Triple H to management. They believe he will get more laughs than boos, we will have to see about that in the future I'm sure.

Onto Gregory Helms, people in the back say he wants to come back, but are not sure when he will do so, he has been in the back on ECW and Smackdown tapings recently. His surgery he has had prevents him from being back soon, but it looks like when he is ready the WWE wants him.

On to Jeff Hardy, he has been all over the Internet with a mishap in the Nashville Airport yesterday after Smackdown tapings. Both Matt, his brother, and friend Gregory Helms, were with him when this all took place, there has been no details put out other than he was escorted by police.

Where I am not sure, but since details are sketchy it looks as if the WWE will look into it, Matt Hardy posted on his blog however that it was just rumor mill, so we will have to wait and see on that. He is scheduled to be at No Mercy challenging Triple H for the WWE Championship, so we will see what happens after the WWE finds out what exactly happened.

TNA Star Kevin Nash re-signed with TNA today after a big rumor he was coming back the the WWE as Shawn Micheals bodyguard, a rumor I never believed but wrote about, he is good friends with management and the main guy Jeff Jarrett. So we may see him there for the rest of his wrestling career. TNA needs Nash in m opinion, mainly because of the influence he is to the younger wrestlers in the locker room.

Onto Candice Michelle, she apparently has disappointed management and with herself, she has been given a big push by the WWE, and to me it seems to soon, she did OK in her return match, but has done terrible in the ring lately, and management wants to say its just ring rust and I agree. Maybe give her a month before pushing her to the main event women they want for her to be.

She appolgized last week backstage for her performance, and they told her that when she gets back in the ring more and more then she will be OK. But they are both equally disappointed. We will see how she responds this week on RAW.

Last to Batista, what a bizarre story, he has actually said he doesn't want a push right now, have you ever heard that from a main event calibar wrestler? Not me, he wants to take some time off and is really wanting to retire in about 2 years, Vince has tryed to keep him happy because he is a big draw overseas. And McMahon knows he is a big spendor so he thinks if he ays him more he will stay, maybe it will owrk
