Vince Young to Backup Vick? Why the Eagles Should Look Into Acquiring Him
Ten touchdowns to three interceptions, and a 98.6 passer rating...wait that is considered a bad season for a quarterback?
According to reports, the Tennessee Titans intend to trade quarterback Vince Young. Young was solid enough last season, but he could not maintain his composure with ex-coach Jeff Fisher.
Even though Fisher was fired a couple of days ago, the Titans want to move in a different direction.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Young still has potential and though this was his fifth season in the league, he still has not had a great quarterback coach, one that could teach him the fundamentals of the game.
The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the best in the league at grooming quarterbacks. QB Coach James Urban, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and coach Andy Reid all have done a phenomenal job turning project Michael Vick into an elite quarterback, not to mention what they did with Kevin Kolb, one of the best young quarterbacks in the game.
The coaching staff refined Vick's game, turning him into an actual quarterback. He was accurate and made great decisions with the ball.
Since Kolb is wanted by many teams in the league desperate for a quarterback, Reid will probably trade him. His stock is the same as last season and I could definitely see a team overcompensating the Eagles for Kolb.
Kolb also wants out of Philadelphia if he is not the starter next season, and with Michael Vick entrenched at the position, there is almost no chance of Kolb starting for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Andy Reid will be loyal to his quarterback and do what is right for Kolb, which is trading him.
If Kolb really is traded, the Eagles will need a capable backup quarterback, especially since Vick's game calls for numerous hits, taking a huge toll on his body.
Third-string quarterback Mike Kafka has a solid arm and is accurate, but cannot be trusted to be the backup in just his second season.
Vince Young has starting potential, which is what the Eagles need as the backup.
If Vick gets hurt—something that is likely—the Eagles offense would not have to adjust that much, since Young is a mobile quarterback like Vick. And let''s say Young performs well in that game or games, he would be another sought-out commodity the Eagles could possess.
Remember in the Washington game, when Vick left with the injury? Though not his fault, Kolb could not jump-start the offense for the rest of the game.
Young would not cost much in draft picks—maybe just a fourth-round pick.
With the success of Reid coaching quarterbacks, Vince Young should be brought in to work behind Vick
Imagine what Young could learn from the helpful Michael Vick.
