MLB Daily Market Wrap Up

Moving Today's Market

There were four afternoon games, but that hasn't stopped the action on tonight's games. The Mets/Nationals and White Sox/Yankees are receiving the most attention in the market. Former Cy Young award winner Johan Santana (13-7, 2.70 ERA) starts for the Mets, and the Nationals counter with Tim Redding (10-9, 4.54 ERA). Pinnacle opened with the Mets favored at -205 and it has slightly moved throughout the day, but it's currently back at -205. The Mets are receiving 66% of the bets, but it shows there is even money on both sides. The cross-town Yankees are drawing attention from the public and the Sharps (professional bettors) as New York sends Mike Mussina (17-9, 3.63 ERA) to the mound against Javier Vazquez (12-13, 4.13 ERA) and the White Sox. Pinnacle opened at Yankees -121 and has since moved to -143 after they triggered a Steam move. The most intriguing line movement of the day has involved Randy Johnson (10-9, 4.11 ERA) and the Diamondbacks against the Giants and Tim Lincecum (17-3, 2.43 ERA). The Diamondbacks opened at Pinnacle favored -109, and the line has since moved to -105 in favor of San Francisco. The public is pounding the side of the Giants as they have received 70% of the money line bets, and enough money is on San Francisco to make them go from being the underdog to the favorite.
