Pittsburgh Steelers V. Chicago Bears: Why This Super Bowl Will Be Black and Blue
Everyone seems to think the Packers are the best thing since sliced bread. And, everyone seems to be buying into Rex Ryan's Jets being invincible.
Well, I'm here to squash those bandwagons and tell you why this year's Super Bowl isn't going to be the sexy Packers-Jets matchup that everyone seems to want.
It's going to be a game featuring the black (Steelers) and the blue (Bears). Here's my breakdown of a couple key points from each conference championship game.

Green Bay vs. Chicago
First of all, I have to get this off my chest: calm down with all the Aaron Rodgers hype.
Yes, he is a good, if not great, quarterback, but he is not the second coming of Jesus. The guy has only won two playoff games.
Granted, he’s young and has a long way to go in his career, but why isn’t all the hype focused on Ben Roethlisberger and his two Super Bowl rings?
Heck, even Mark Sanchez has twice as many playoff wins as Rodgers.
So, let’s cool it on the hype for now. If he somehow manages to lead the Packers to a Super Bowl win, throwing for 300+ yards in each game, then we can start to hype him as an elite QB.
Until then, let’s save that praise for Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning, the guys who have been there before.
Aaron Rodgers isn’t even going to get to the Super Bowl anyway.
This year’s Super Bowl is going to be between the Bears and Steelers.
Everyone seems to be forgetting that the Packers struggle mightily in close games. Their six losses in the 2010 regular season came by a combined 20 points, less than four points per loss.
And Sunday’s game against the Bears is almost guaranteed to be a close game.
As a Packer fan, I’ve got a sinking feeling that this game is going to be decided by the very accurate right leg of Robbie Gould, not good news for Green Bay.
Prediction: Bears 27, Packers 24
New York vs. Pittsburgh
Meanwhile, the Steelers are going to cakewalk to a victory over the Jets.
The biggest reason is that the Jets won their Super Bowl last weekend against the Patriots.
Rex Ryan had his squad so pumped up to get revenge on New England that there’s simply no way they can match that intensity and focus this week. Therefore, they are primed for a letdown.
Plus, even though the Jets have beaten great quarterbacks in Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, they haven’t beaten great defenses.
As Bart Scott said, the Patriots’ defense couldn’t “stop a nose bleed.”
Well, the Steelers’ defense could probably stop the Mississippi River in its tracks if they wanted to.
Mark Sanchez is going to be under siege all day long in Pittsburgh and will probably be hit a couple times by James Harrison, the hardest hitter in the NFL. He’ll be rattled, and that’ll translate into a costly interception or two.
On defense, the Jets haven’t faced an offense as balanced as Pittsburgh either.
The Patriots and Colts both relied on their passing game to win, but the Steelers can beat you with Ben Roethlisberger or Rashard Mendenhall.
I’m predicting a big day for Mendenhall, carrying the Steelers to victory.
The Steelers are going to win this game easily and move on to Ben Roethlisberger’s third Super Bowl.
Prediction: Steelers 24, Jets 13
