Super Bowl Predictions: Why the Pittsburgh Steelers Will Crush the Packers
The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers both have huge games this weekend against opponents they have already faced this season.
That being said, these are the teams that I think we will see in the Super Bowl this season, but unfortunately, it will not be much of a game.
Here are some reasons why the Pittsburgh Steelers will crush the Green Bay Packers.
Steelers Have The Whole Package
1 of 7
The Steelers have the whole package when it comes to the team game. They have a great, hard-hitting defense that strikes fear in opposing quarterbacks.
Along with this great defense, they have a quarterback who has been in this position before and knows how to get the job done when it comes to playoff games.
The Steelers are just the overall better team as whole.
Packers Are Inexperienced In Playoff Situations
2 of 7
The Packers are very inexperienced when it comes to the playoffs and this will hurt them immensely. The pressure of making to a Superbowl can make the most season veteran players crumble, and having a younger team is not an advantage in this case.
It's going to be challenging for the Packers to compete with the Steelers who are full of experience in this case.
Clay Matthews Is The Only Chance The Packers Have
3 of 7
Clay Matthews needs to have a huge game in order for the Packers to win this game. They are banking on him to come up big in a big situation and I just don't know if it will happen.
Getting pressure on Ben is important or else he will throw all over you. It might not be flashy, but it works.
The Steelers Have a Decent Running Game
4 of 7
This has been a problem for the Packers all season: stopping the run.
The Steelers have running back Rashard Mendenhall, who has rushed for 1,274 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season.
Overall, the Steelers have averaged 120 yards per game, and just look for them to run over the Packers if they end up meeting each other.
Steelers Pass Defense Is Finally Healthy
5 of 7
It seems as though the Steelers defense is finally healthy in the secondary. Led by two Pro Bowl-caliber safeties, with the feature being Troy Polamalu, the Steelers are back in full force.
The Steelers give up on average 225 yards per game, and if anyone can keep the Packers in check, it's Pittsburgh.
Steelers Have Been Here Before
6 of 7
The Steelers are very experienced and have been in this situation before. I cannot express enough, how this experience will help them in this game.
The Steelers will know what it's like and know how to handle the pressure.
Packers Are a Year Away
7 of 7
The Packers just aren't ready to make the leap to Super Bowl champions. The Packers will win many Super Bowls with Aaron Rodgers, but he needs to lose one before he can win one.
