NFL Conference Championships Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Ranking

Greg Jennings bounced back, but we still had some no-shows (Anquan Boldin, Mike Wallace). Let us take a look at the wide receiver rankings for the Conference Championship games.


1.  Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers

 Jennings caught eight passes for 101 yards. He had 18 yards, a score in the first meeting and 97 yards in the second meeting with the Bears. He has not scored in four straight games, a steak that should be snapped this week.

2.  Braylon Edwards, New York Jets

Braylon caught eight passes for 100 yards in the regular season meeting with Pittsburgh. He has six catches for 114 yards and a score in the playoffs. I am not expecting a monster game, but I think his size will give Pittsburgh a little trouble.

3.  Hines Ward, Pittsburgh Steelers

 With Revis looking to slow down Mike Wallace, Ward will get the chance to step up. He has scored in his past two games, and the Steelers will need his physical play to advance.

4.  Santonio Holmes, New York Jets

 Holmes returns to Pittsburgh. There will be a little drama there. He had six catches for 40 yards in the first meeting. I get the feeling he makes some big plays against his former team.

5.  Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers

 Wallace was held to 30 yards against Baltimore. Things will not get much easier on Revis Island, especially considering he torched the Jets for 102 yards on seven catches in the first meeting.

6.  Donald Driver, Green Bay Packers

Driver is averaging 5.5 catches for 66 yards in the two playoff games.  He had 14 catches for 102 yards in the two regular season games against the Bears. I expect him to be active in this one.

7.  James Jones, Green Bay Packers

 Jones caught four passes for 75 yards and a score, giving him a touchdown in both Packers playoff games this year. He is a risky play, but a good deep threat.

8. Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers

 Brown has become a bigger part of the offense with four catches for 52 yards in Week 17 and three catches for 75 yards against the Ravens. If Wallace and Ward cannot get separation from Revis and Cromartie, Brown could get some looks.

9.  Johnny Knox, Chicago Bears

 Knox led Bears wide receivers with four catches for 48 yards. Earl Bennett and Devin Hester combined for three catches for 17 yards. When Cutler goes to his WRs, Knox should be the top target once again. You can’t trust the rest of the Bears WRs.

10.  Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers

 Nelson caught all eight of his targets against the Falcons for 79 yards and a score. With so much attention going to Jennings, Driver, and Jones, look for Nelson to draw some favorable matchups.

11.  Emmanuel Sanders, Pittsburgh Steelers

Sanders caught four passes for 54 yards against Baltimore. Big Ben will not hesitate to go to him in this one. He had seven catches for 78 yards against the Jets in Week 15.

12.  Jerricho Cotchery, New York Jets

Cotchery’s 58 yard catch following the Patriots touchdown and successful two-point conversion attempt was as big as any in that upset win. He finished with five catches for 96 yards. I see him taking a backseat in this one though.
