There is just over two weeks left in the regular season so time is running out to get involved in the baseball betting market. There has been a handful of games tonight that have recorded significant movement since when they opened. The Marlins are running out of time to make a playoff push, but their games are still getting attention in the market. Pinnacle line opened with Scott Olsen (6-10, 4.41 ERA) and the Marlins favored at -194, but the line has moved to -160. Skybook (+15.61 units) triggered a Steam Move on the Nationals, which has caused the line to decrease. The line movement has shown the majority of the money is on rookie Shairon Mathis (0-1, 3.60 ERA) and Washington, but 58 percent of the bets are favoring Florida.

A game that moved in the complete opposite direction of the mentioned game above is the Giants against the Padres. San Diego opened at -169 with Pinnacle and is now at -191. There was a Steam Move triggered late this morning causing the significant movement, and also 70 percent of the public is with Jake Peavy (9-10, 2.63 ERA) and the Padres. Peavy dominated the Giants in his only previous start against them this season, allowing one run and five hits in seven innings. He took the loss because San Diego was shut out. Padres center fielder Jody Gerut is doubtful for this series as he recovers from a sprained middle finger.
