20 Interesting Statistics To Consider For The Eagles-Packers Wild-Card Game
1. The 2010 Green Bay Packers have not trailed by more than seven points in any game this entire season. I can't tell you if that is a record, and I don't have the time to check every team in history, but I know that the 16-0 2007 Patriots trailed 35-23 in their last game. The perfect Miami Dolphins trailed 17-7 in a game against the Jets. The The 1984 49ers went 15-1 but trailed 10-0 in their only loss. The 2004 Steelers went 15-1 but lost 30-13 to the Ravens. The 2004 Vikings went 15-1 but trailed by eight in the Tampa Bay game. If anybody wants to go through every team and let me know, I will gladly publish your findings. But based off my little bit of research, I will guess that the Packers are the first team in history to not trail by more than a touchdown during the season.
2. Michael Vick handed the Packers their first-ever home playoff loss in the wild-card round of the 2002 playoffs. Vick completed 13 of 25 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown, and rushed 10 times for 64 yards. The Falcons won 27-7.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
3. Vick has a 2-2 career postseason record as a starter, and both losses came against the Philadelphia Eagles. He's never lost a postseason game not against the Eagles.
4. Aaron Rodgers has played in one postseason game in his career. Despite throwing for 423 yards, four touchdowns, and leading a 21-point second half comeback, the Packers lost in overtime. Rodgers committed turnovers on the first and last play of the game.
5. There are 23 quarterbacks from the modern era in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I counted Favre, Brady, Manning, and Warner as well, making 27. I believe Rodgers will one day make the Hall of Fame. If he loses tomorrow, he will join Peyton Manning and YA Tittle as the only Hall of Fame quarterbacks to lose his first two playoff games (assuming he ends up in Canton).
6. Since Andy Reid became head coach in 1999, the Eagles have won more playoff games than the Cowboys, Broncos, Dolphins, Jaguars, 49ers, Redskins, Bengals, Chiefs, Browns, Lions, Bills, Texans, Bears and Falcons combined.
7. In their 10 wins, the Eagles have turned the ball over 10 times. In their six losses, they've turned the ball over 15 times. In Green Bay's 10 wins, they've turned the ball over 11 times. In their six losses, they've turned the ball over 11 times. Each team is pretty consistent, but if somebody turns the ball over three times tomorrow, I think it's going to be the Eagles.
8. Andy Reid's Eagles as the three seed in the playoffs: 31-9 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2001 and 23-20 win against the New York Giants in 2006.
9. The Eagles' offense has been pretty consistent in the playoffs during the Andy Reid era. However, they've never been spectacular. They've scored 21, 10, 31, 33, 24, 20, 10, 20, 3, 27, 27, 21, 23, 24, 26, 23, 25, 14. That's between 21 and 27 points in eight of their last nine games.
10. When the Eagles defense allows 20 or more points in the Andy Reid era, they are 1-7. When they allow 20 points or fewer, they are 9-1.
11. David Akers ranks fourth in postseason history in career points with 130. He trails Adam Vinatieri (187), Gary Anderson (153), and Jerry Rice (132). Akers will undoubtedly move into third tomorrow. With a big postseason, he could move into second.
12. Jeremy Maclin has one postseason game under his belt. In that game, he set the Eagles single-game record for receiving yards (146). He also scored on a 76-yard touchdown, the longest receiving touchdown in franchise postseason history.
13. The Eagles have played the Packers in the postseason twice. They defeated the Packers 17-13 to win the NFL championship in 1960 and they defeated the Packers 20-17 in the famous 4th and 26 game in 2003.
14. Michael Vick has played against two playoff teams this season. Both times he led the Eagles to exactly 26 points. They beat the Colts 26-24, and lost to the Bears 31-26.
15. In his postseason career, Michael Vick threw 105 passes: 103 with the Falcons and 2 with the Eagles. His longest touchdown pass, however, came with the Eagles: the 76-yard scoring strike to Maclin.
16. The Eagles are 3-0 in home wild-card games under Andy Reid. They're 4-1 in the wild-card round. They're 3-0 against the NFC North.
17. Andy Reid's Eagles are 5-6 against Pro Bowl quarterbacks. They're 5-2 against non-Pro Bowl quarterbacks.
18. The Eagles have had one first-quarter passing touchdown in the Andy Reid era: a two-yard pass from Donovan McNabb to Freddie Mitchell against the Minnesota Vikings in 2004.
19. When the Eagles play a team they lost to in the regular season, they're 0-3. They were swept by the Giants in 2000 (33-18, 24-7) and lost 20-10 in the postseason. They lost to the Rams 20-17 in overtime in the first game of the 2001 season and lost 29-24 in the NFC championship. And they were swept by the Cowboys in the 2009 season (20-16, 24-0) and lost 34-14 in the wild-card round of the postseason.
20. DeSean Jackson has either scored a touchdown or made a significant contribution in all four of his postseason games. In the 2008 wild-card game against Minnesota, he caught one pass for 34 yards and returned five punts for 102 yards, including a 60-yarder. Against the Giants the next week, he caught four passes for 81 yards. In Arizona for the NFC championship, he caught six passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, including the go-ahead 62-yard score in the fourth quarter. And against the Cowboys last year, he caught three passes for 14 yards and a touchdown, the last McNabb threw as a Philadelphia Eagle.
