NFL Report: Marvin Lewis To Remain Head Coach of Cincinnati Bengals
ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that Marvin Lewis is likely to return in Cincinnati.
The two sides met yesterday, and again today, and it is believed that Lewis has agreed to return. A new contract is said to being worked on at the moment.
Lewis was a likely candidate to be removed from his position after a lackluster 4-12 2010 campaign and it has come as a surprise that he will remain in Cincinnati after numerous reports said that he was ready to move on, possibly heading to PITT.

Lewis' main concerns with the franchise have been the lack of a training facility and a decent scouting staff, for these reasons he did not agree to a contract extension prior to this season, so it will be interesting to see if Owner Mike brown has agreed to make changes to keep Lewis on staff.
As Head Coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, Marvin Lewis has generated a 60-67-1 record and if he is coming back then one hopes he feels he can do a lot to alter that record and return the team to its 2009 form.
It will prove a very difficult task in a division like the AFC North, which is getting tougher and tougher by the day.
Despite his record, players seem to be in favor of Lewis' return despite being in the dark about it.
"I think he wants to be back, and I think everybody wants him back," safety Chris Crocker said. "But it's going to be a decision between him and ownership. One thing is when you lose and you don't have a good season, something changes. You don't know what's going to change."
Bengals fans are likely to be polarized by this decision.
While some might suggest it is the beginning of Mike Brown accepting changes need to be made, others will concede to the idea that this franchise is going nowhere and brace themselves for more of the same.
We will hopefully know more about the ins and outs of Marvin's return as the news is being released, but one has to hope Marvin has made clear what he needs to turn this football team into a success story.
It's been eight seasons and if Lewis gets what he wants and still doesn't get results, then expect the next sucker to take over in 2012!
***UPDATE - NFL.com is reporting that Marvin Lewis has officially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals,
