WWE TLC Preview: 7 Reasons Beth Phoenix and Natalya Will Crush Lay-Cool

Dan PowerDec 17, 2010

For the first time ever in WWE, there will be a Divas Tables Match. It will take place at the Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view coming this weekend.

Actually, it will be a very rare hardcore event to have ever be held in the women's division. It could even be called a happening, which is something almost not existing for the Divas lately.

The returning Beth Phoenix will team up with Natalya to face Lay-Cool in that unique contest.

But, as you will see, the odds are strongly in Beth and Natalya's favor.

So, let's see why Lay-Cool will be crushed by the recently reunited friends.

7. The Type Of Match Favors Beth and Natalya

TLC 2010: Beth Phoenix and Natalya will face Lay-Cool in a Tables match.

Both of them are the powerhouses of the Divas division, so the tables match is designed for them.

Beth can smash Layla or Michelle McCool through a table with a devastating Glam Slam.

Natalya can easily get the job done with a signature suplex or a spinning powerbomb.

The team of Lay-Cool mostly have a variety of kicks in their arsenal which is not really appropriate to win a tables match.

6. Natalya Defeated Lay-Cool in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match

Survivor Series 2010: Natalya defeated Layla and MIchelle McCool in a 2-on-1 handicap match.

If Natalya could defeat Layla and Michelle in a 2-on-1 handicap match at Survivor Series, how can they win a 2-on-2 match?

Not only it will be a 2-on-2 contest, but Natalya is joined by Beth Phoenix, a three-time Women's Champion and one of the greatest Divas ever.

Lay-Cool are more a joke than anything else lately, anyway.

5. Beth Phoenix Can't Lose Her First Pay-Per-View

Beth Phoenix is not back in action to lose against Lay-Cool.

She is a top draw in the women's division and it would make no sense if she was set to lose at her first pay-per-view since her long-awaited return.

She didn't win the Divas battle royal on Raw, but she clearly demonstrated how dominant she was. She didn't win just because she was not the Diva of the Year.

4. The Usual WWE Scheme

Raw (December 13, 2010): Michelle McCool celebrating after her victory. By winning a Divas battle royal, she won the Diva Of The Year Slammy.

If WWE go with their usual pattern, Lay-Cool should lose at the upcoming pay-per-view since Michelle won the last match against her opponents.

With Michelle winning the Divas battle royal on Raw, she will most likely be the victim of the momentum shift that usually happen in the showdowns leading to pay-per-view matches.

3. Lay-Cool are due to split

Raw (December 12, 2010): Lay-Cool before the Divas battle royal. Layla must take her place under the spotlight.

Layla and Michelle reached the limits of their boring teenagers gimmick.

If they have a good complicity in promos segments, their gimmick is totally annoying and it's more than time to move on for both of them.

They are also not very good together in tag-team matches. They only pull out decent matches in singles.

Layla drastically improved her in-ring work in the last year and she doesn't need McCool. In fact, Michelle is doing nothing good for Layla.

In addition, Layla has now a bigger fan base than Michelle McCool so it would be natural if she was next in line for a serious push.

I would even see Layla as a face and she could have a good feud with Michelle. Their rivalry could be based on jealousy and on the fact Michelle got her push due to her relationship with The Undertaker (if the creative has some guts).

2. Natalya and Beth are currently the two best Divas in WWE

Strength and Domination: Beth and Natalya in action. How painful would be a Glam Slam through a table.

They are unstoppable together and Lay-Cool never intimidated them. In fact, Natalya and Beth physically dominated their opponents in the last weeks and there is no sign for a change at TLC.

Layla and Michelle are not even close to Beth and Natalya's level.

Beth is still in revenge mode against Lay-Cool who has put her out of action for months. And a tables match is the perfect way to exact revenge brutally.

Natalya is currently on the top of the mountain and of her game. The crowds are crazy about her, so her reign should last long, unless she faces Beth or a serious newcomer.

1. Natalya is the Divas Champion

Natalya is on the top of her game. She is The Champ!

She is the Champ! She is dominant!

Beth Phoenix couldn't get a better partner to face Lay-Cool.

Actually, there is no way Lay-Cool can with that coming match. There is nothing in their favor.
