Why MMA Must Be Legalized In New York
Like the Guinness book of world records, UFC was invented to settle disputes.
What would happen if this martial art went up against that martial art etc. For years we have seen which martial arts are effective and which ones are not.
So why would the state of New York not want to participate in the fastest growing sport in America?
Especially considering how enthusiastic New York sports fans are, it would seem to be a "no brainer". Also New York has one of the biggest martial arts, specifically Kung Fu, scenes in America.
Although this would upset the martial art ecosystem there, because people would actually have to be accountable for their claims, it would bring in a lot of money for the state of New York.
Joe Rogan Gives A Breakdown Of New York Kung Fu and It's Ineffective Nature
1 of 7If what he is saying is true, many families and factions who have been operating schools for years in New York would be exposed.
Like everyone else in the country, those who talk big would have to prove themselves in the cage.
An Example Of New York Martial Arts
2 of 7Confusing?
In New York, all Kung Fu has Japanese jujitsu blended into it. This dates back to Moses Powell who was a pioneer in New York martial arts. Almost every major faction in New York stems from Moses Powell.
His legacy unfortunately is carried on by students who have abandoned his teachings. However, they do have style. Notice the master wears a durag with his Gi.
The mark of a true sensei, very authentic.
According to NY Martial Artist
3 of 7According to NY Martial Artist, "There is no such thing as mixed martial arts."
At least according to one of the most respected martial artist and Kung Fu practitioners in New York state and former student of the late Moses Powell, Professor Watts.
So Called Kung Fu Tournaments Look Suspiciously a Lot Like MMA Bouts.

Another reason MMA needs to be legalized is so tournaments like the popular Manup Standup are not the only solution for martial arts combat.
This looks like backyard brawling. As you can see in this video, the action gets way out of hand and people from the audience jump in. There needs to be organization or there is only chaos.
New York Wing Chun Fails at M-1 Global Tryouts, Followed By Meltdown
5 of 7Shawn Obasi's Wing Chun fails at the M-1 tryouts after having a complete meltdown once he realizes he has dedicated his life to nonsense.
He is told by the head coach that he talks a lot and doesn't back it up. He also is told that he must learn other styles besides Wing Chun because as of right now he doesn't have the skills necessary.
Shawn Obasi Calls Himself The Last Dragon. Talk About False Advertising.
6 of 7Shawn Obasi calls himself the Last Dragon but he and his fellow New York martial artists resemble the comedy relief of Sho Nuff and his gang.
Notice Sho Nuff's costume has a lot of similarities to the skirt pants of the typical New York Martial Artist. Not to mention matching attitudes.
All Jokes Aside, I Leave You With This Final Thought From The Late Moses Powell.
7 of 7All jokes aside, I leave you with this final thought from the late Moses Powell.
Just about all martial arts that originated in New York are a branch of the Dr. Powell tree.
In his last interview he expresses his disappointment as his students stray from the teachings and ultimately betray him. This is the state of New York martial arts. The lawlessness of the wild west where anything goes and no one has to ever back up what they are saying. They can make outrageous claims and insult MMA without any consequences.
Well New York, soon the time will come to truly man up and stand up.
