NFL Power Rankings Week 14: Rating Every NFC Team at The Playoff Push
It's Tuesday and that means it's time for Power Rankings. Week 14 is on the horizon and the NFC race is heating up.
There is a clear-cut favorite in the conference, but where will the rest of the playoff hopefuls fall?
Click to check out where every NFC team stands with just four weeks left in the season.
16) Carolina Panthers
1 of 16
The Panthers (1-11) are currently riding the low of a six-game losing streak and every other NFC team's punching bag these days.
15) Arizona Cardinals
2 of 16
At one point this season, Arizona was 3-2 and leading the NFC West, but that feels like ages ago and since then, the Cardinals have lost seven straight games and have done it convincingly.
14) Detroit Lions
3 of 16
Detroit has just four wins in the past two seasons. The good news is they have two already and it's only Week 14.
13) Washington Redskins
4 of 16
The Redskins have lost two straight and have been all but eliminated from the NFC playoff picture. They were beaten by the Vikings at home two weeks ago and blown out by the Giants on the road this past Sunday.
12) San Francisco 49ers
5 of 16
The 49ers have had every opportunity to take control of the pitiful NFC West, but they haven't capitalized and now find themselves 4-8 and two games out of the division lead.
11) Minnesota Vikings
6 of 16
The Vikings have long since been out of the NFC discussion, but a two-game winning streak has them feeling warm in Minnesota.
10) Seattle Seahawks
7 of 16
The Seahawks are 6-6 and right behind the Rams for the NFC West lead, but don't let their playoff position mask what they really are: a flawed team.
9) Dallas Cowboys
8 of 16
Don't look now but the Cowboys are 4-8. Dallas has won three out of it's past four games and is a Roy Williams Thanksgiving fumble away from being 4-0 under Jason Garrett.
8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
9 of 16
The Buccaneers have lost two straight games, both to playoff teams in the Ravens and Falcons respectively. Unfortunately, losing close games can't prevent Tampa Bay from slipping.
7) St. Louis Rams
10 of 16
With just four weeks left to play, the St. Louis Rams lead the NFC West, that's right, the Rams. St. Louis has won two straight games and is 4-2 at home. Keep that in mind if they snag a home playoff game as NFC West champs.
6) New York Giants
11 of 16
The Giants have recovered nicely from their two-game slide with a two game winning streak. New York is tied with the Eagles for the NFC East lead and needs to protect the ball a little bit better to move up.
5) Philadelphia Eagles
12 of 16
Philadelphia has been consistent all season long and even though they have flaws, they have Michael Vick, who is like a band aid that can't get wet.
4) Green Bay Packers
13 of 16
The Packers bounced back nicely this week with a win over the 49ers at home, but unfortunately a last-second loss at Atlanta could send the Pack on the road this postseason.
3) Chicago Bears
14 of 16
The Bears have won five straight games and Cutler has taken care of the ball in most of those wins. If he can continue to compliment the defense like that, the Bears will go far.
2) New Orleans Saints
15 of 16
The Saints have won five straight games and have also proven they can win anywhere, as they are 5-1 on the road this season. A team that travels well is always successful in the playoffs.
1) Atlanta Falcons
16 of 16
The Atlanta Falcons are on fire. Winners of six straight games, the Falcons are first in line for home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs, and their 6-0 home record only makes them hotter.
