Chris Jericho's Return: 5 Possible Ways the Pro Wrestling Legend Can Return

Chris Jericho is rumoured to return at the start of 2011, and I have being thinking of ways Jericho could return today as I watched him defeat Daniel Bryan on week two of NXT Season 1.

Here are five ways we can watch Jericho return to our screens and do what he does best.

5. Feud With Orton and Avenge What the Viper Has Done To Him

After we found out that Jericho would begin touring with his rock band Fozzy, we all knew that the WWE creative team would have to come up with a way to write Jericho out of all WWE storylines. The team had then-WWE Champion Randy Orton kick Jericho so hard in the skull that he would remain injured for a long time.

Orton vs. Jericho is a feud we have seen in the past for a short time, but Jericho was face and Orton was heel, so it will be interesting to see what sort of character Jericho will have because Orton is one of WWE's top faces right now. However, could the Viper be in for a change if he fails to regain the title that is so dear to him off the stubborn Miz?

With Sheamus, The Miz and Wade Barrett all playing the heel style pretty well, it is hard to imagine WWE will convert Orton over as he does get an amazing ovation whenever he makes that trip to the ring.

To be honest, a Jericho/Orton feud is probably the most likely thing to happen out of my five possible scenarios.

4. Jericho Reveals Self as Swagger Soaring Eagle and Gets Revenge on Swagger Because of Way Jack Won World Title

We never got to see a Jack Swagger and Chris Jericho match because Jericho was in the middle of an important feud with fellow Canadian Edge.

This would be highly entertaining to watch as both men have become submission giants inside the WWE, and both men have A+ skills on a mic, as we have all witnessed in the past.

I know it has been said on many wrestling sites that Chavo is indeed Swagger's Eagle, but I just think that if this works out, it creates an excellent platform for a stroyline that is needed very badly.

This is a storyline that pitches Swagger up with a top star, in order to be made to look strong. There is no athlete in the entire business that does this better than former World Champion Chris Jericho.

3. Return To win the Rumble

John Cena and Edge are among two people who have done this, and Jericho has won so many accomplishments in the WWE. Yet, he has never won the Royal Rumble, so he has to be one of the running favourites leading up to the big event.

I would like to see a younger competitor like Alberto Del Rio, Daniel Bryan or even the talented Englishman Wade Barrett win. However, I would have no complaints if Jericho did win the Rumble.

Chris Jericho came very close to wining the 2010 Royal Rumble until Edge shot to greatness and won the event.

2. Return To Assist Edge in His feud With Kane

Before Jericho was "injured," Edge and Jericho had a certain "truce" or "friendship" as they were united due to their desire to avoid Cena's team in a match against Nexus.

I think it would be smart for the WWE to take advantage of the Edge/Jericho angle as it could set up a future feud between Kane and Jericho (which is something we have not seen in a very long time) and it would also be a strong plus for their dreadful, horrible and empty Tag Team divisions.

Edge and Jericho are incredible on screen, and as we are all aware, they both have tremendous skills on the mic.

Edge and Jericho setting up a stable consisting of Canadians would be an angle worth watching, and maybe after all this time we could have found ourselves a unit that could take Nexus and release talented stars like Harris, Gabriel and Barrett into the mid-card and/or main event.

Edge, Chris Jericho, Tyson Kidd and maybe one or two more individuals would be the perfect stable and angle.

I know Kidd was not born in Canada, but part of his gimmick is that he was raised from the Hart Dungeon, so that could be used.

1. Unveil Himself As Nexus Leader

I know this one is very unlikely, but it needs to be thrown out there because of the history surrounding Wade Barrett and Chris Jericho.

As for what the bigger picture is, well I actually would not know where to begin guessing, because after WWE's failed Survivor Series attempt at upping Nexus and this angle, it looks like it may as well just leave us hanging like it has been doing for the past couple of months with the RAW GM Angle.

I know some reading this may ask whether Jericho could be the GM or not. I highly doubt he is, which is why I never mentioned that supposed scenario.
