Drew Brees, Tim Tebow and 10 Athletes You'd Let Your Sister Date

Ethan NorofDec 5, 2010

We're talking about another guy dating your very own sister.

With so many narcissistic, big-headed athletes in the game today, it's getting harder and harder to find that stand up gentleman who serves as the perfect role model.

Popular to contrary belief, there are still plenty of admirable folk left in the limelight, and these guys serve as a perfect illustration of that very notion.

10. Jon Lester, SP Boston Red Sox

1 of 10

Just about as nice as they come, the only thing more polished than his game to the ladies is his arsenal of pitches.

Blessed with a cannon of an arm and already a World Series Champion, Lester's triumphant battle against cancer is a Hallmark movie in the making. The true ace of the Boston rotation has quickly established himself as a fan favorite both inside of Fenway and across New England.

While it's doubtful that he'll be leaving his current situation anytime soon (see picture), he definitely makes the cut.

9. Wes Welker, WR New England Patriots

World Wide Wes is one of the classiest men in the NFL.

Always with the right thing to say and constantly supporting the notion of team first, the undersized Welker was told that he couldn't do it his whole life. Now that he's enjoyed an illustrious NFL career, it's clear that the gritty wideout was very underestimated.

Playing with the heart of a lion, Welker's loyalty goes unquestioned. An icon in the New England region, double-W wouldn't even make you feel like a small man.

You're probably taller than he is.

8. Kevin Durant, SF Oklahoma City Thunder

He's the perfect face for the NBA, so why can't he make an appearance on the family Christmas card?

A very clean image, Durant's dynamic game and humble, modest background allow him to flourish perfectly in the Oklahoma City market. Extremely appreciate for everything that he is blessed to have in his young life, the MVP candidate is never at the center of any controversy.

With that freakish wingspan, he could even pass you the remote from across the room on Thanksgiving day when you're too stuffed to move, a serious potential benefit.

I couldn't forget about the Jewish ladies in the world.

One of the more well-liked athletes in the sport, Youkilis' appeal extends far beyond the borders of Beantown. A non-threatening, smiling, bearded man, the talented Youk goes about his business in a very ho-hum manner that has left him flying under the radar for a long majority of his career.

Now an established face of the Red Sox brand, he absolutely loves playing the game of baseball, and at the end of the day, you've got to love what you do.

6. Tom Brady, QB New England Patriots

Obviously Tom Terrific is currently tied with his supermodel wife Gisele, but you knew he had to make this list.

The newest face of Ugg Australia, his long locks are very much in the hearts of girls everywhere around the world. One of the nicest guys in the NFL as long as he's not talking about the Jets, it's still pretty amazing to consider Brady's rise to prominence.

While it's unlikely that he's going to hit the market soon, he certainly wouldn't be a bad guy to have join the family.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid

Perhaps the most popular icon across international borders and across all of soccer, Ronaldo has dribbled his way into the hearts of many female fans.

The highest paid footballer in the world, Ronaldo's electric presence would be sure to liven up any room come time to celebrate family holidays. Additionally, his Portugese swag is clearly a hit with his suitors.

With a very prolific career already established and it a long way away from being over, Ronaldo's appeal extends far beyond the pitch.

4. Sidney Crosby, C Pittsburgh Penguins

On pace to enjoy arguably his best season ever, Crosby's sharp skills on the ice make him perhaps the best in the business.

An icon long before he made his NHL debut, this heart throb is in the mind of many female fanatics across hockey circles everywhere. With a smile as attractive to the media as his dangle moves are to his teammates, Crosby's soft demeanor makes him no threat whatsoever.

Any guy who can thrive in the limelight as he has is definitely worth my sister's time.

3. Drew Brees, QB New Orleans Saints

Sport's Illustrated Sportsman of the Year is undoubtedly a great guy off of the football field.

Very involved in his community and always finding new ways to give back, Brees' attitude of putting others before himself has really shown itself since he joined the Saints.

At the helm of successful fantasy football teams everywhere, after leading the team to a destined Super Bowl run and taking home the title, the infamous picture of Brees holding his son up to the crowd after the victory is sure to make any female bawl.

2. David Wright, 3B New York Mets

His team might be a mess, but he most certainly has it all together.

A perennial all-star, Wright's smooth, calm approach to the game is an illustration of his mild-mannered approach to life. Playing under the bright lights and extreme scrutiny of New York City, that type of approach is a very good one to take for one of the game's best young players.

Although he'll always be the second most popular player in New York so long as Derek Jeter remains around, that's just fine with Wright as he prefers to be underneath the radar.

1. Tim Tebow, QB Denver Broncos

His throwing motion might be unconventional, but he's as conservative as they come.

A stout man of religious beliefs, Tebow's respect for the female population is second to none among professional athletes. Whether you like him or not, it's hard to imagine him treating anyone he cares about in any bad manner whatsoever.

He already has the best selling jersey in the NFL, so what more would he need to make him more popular?

Your sister on his arm.
