What's In Store For The Future? My Bold Predictions For 2011 In Pro Wrestling!

The Jonathan CooneyyDec 1, 2010

As we travel deeper into December one thing comes to mind. And that would be the fact that this is the final month of the year 2010.

2010 seen some great times including HBK's final match with the WWE at WrestleMania 26 and we also seen some major lows such as talented superstar Shelton Benjamin being released due to company cut backs.

To be honest those were two of many things that I would not have predicted at the end of 2009 and that is why in this article I am going to make some pretty bold predictions just for fun to see will they work out.

And here are my predictions for the next 12 months in both WWE and TNA.

Thanks for reading!

The Deadman Will Retire!

This is something I never want to see happen and all loyal WWE fans will feel the same as will the WWE themselves as he has been so loyal for the promotion throughout the years and has drawn so many fans to PPV's and what not.

Every so often the creative team has to find ways to write Taker out of story lines because of his old age and many injury problems.

Despite all of Taker's cons we all know he can still but on awesome matches as he has this year plenty of times against the likes of Shawn Michales, Jack Swagger and of course his brother Kane.

The Undertaker is currently inactive with injury as I mentioned above the creative had to find yet another way to write hi out and they did during a buried alive match vs. Kane, where Nexus came out and assisted Kane in the burial of Taker.

Many sites are rumouring that this angle could lead to some sort of Tag Team match at WrestleMania where Kane and Undertaker will take on Nexus.

But that much will only take place if Undertaker is unable to hold his own in a regular singles match.

I would hate to see Taker retiring before reaching at least 20 in his infamous streak but if his injuries continue this way maybe the only conclusion.

Either way my respect for the deadman will never fade.

Immortals Will Split Due To Past Problems With Flair and Hogan

I was shocked to the core to see Flair join Hogan and Bischoff in this stable as I was convinced that Flair's Fortune would help dismantle the unit that is "Immortals"

I can really see this downfall coming and because of the popularity of AJ Styles and Ric Flair. These guys are suppose to be heels but even Jeff Jarrett can draw more heat than these guys.

When or even if this does happen I imagine it will be Flair's guys turning face and Hogan along with his "Anti-Christ of Pro Wrestling" Jeff Hardy.

If this prediction does work out hopefully AJ can return to main event status and re-gain HIS TNA World Title.

Kaz, AJ and Beer Money vs Abyss, Jarrett, Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy (if with the company by then) or else Rhino.

That is the match I can see happening at Lethal Lockdown if not even before then.

Edge Turns Heel AGAIN

This is my 3rd prediction and this is one I am not a fan of rather like the Taker slide I don't like it but I do know it will happen.

Edge as a heel is cowardly, moans 24-7 and will always chicken out of big matches like what we seen in the past for Edge in feuds against the likes of Randy Orton, The Undertaker and his famous nemesis John Cena.

Edge as a face has had entertaining matches against Alberto Del Rio, Kane and Jack Swagger. His dreams of stopping stupidity were also very good. (at times).

But will we ever forget his heel antics like Slapping Cena's father in the face?

His spear to Jeff Hardy on top of the ladder?

Him mocking Khali's appearances and the way he walks? No, we will never forget any of these amazing times and his show (The Cutting Edge) was always very good when he was heel.

I am 100% convinced that TLC will be Edges PPV's as I do believe he will re-gain his World Title in his match Vs. Kane.

Scott Steiner To Be Signed Up By Either WWE Or TNA

I think WWE should sign Steiner to a non-wrestling role as his experience and popularity would certainly be a pro for NXT.

And let's just face it NXT has got more cons then pros.

Steiner in the WWE would mean that maybe he could form at Tag Team and compete in their broken division. He has got bucket loads of experience in the Tag Team department as many would know due to his success with his brother, Rick.

If Steiner signs back up with TNA he would probably be thrown into their broken division, no not their Tag Team one or their incredibly boring main event one but their even worse one, the X Division one.

At one time TNA would not even consider a guy like Steiner for the division but due to very low actual good in-ring preforms available they would have to make do with that.

Kurt Angle To Return, Feud With Jarrett Then Challenge For Title

Kurt Angle is a world-class athlete who brings out the best in Jeff Jarrett without doubt.

Most wrestling fans know the unscriptted history between these two men and when they are in the ring together it creates a mixed atmosphere and leaves us all feeling tense as we know that Jarrett can say one thing to badly piss Kurt off.

KAREN!

One name... so much meaning!

Both men have decent mic skills and at the moment Jarrett is in good form on TNA and gaining more heat every week with boring segments and dirty under-handed tricks against Samoa Joe.

Their tense mic work and dark history should result in us having a very juicy feud upon the return of the Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle.

When Kurt demolishes the pest that is, Jeff Jarrett he will move on to the next pest and oddly enough it is another Jeff that also screwed him over.

Jeff Hardy battered Anderson and Angle with a crunch to gain his gateway to his first TNA World Title and his ticket into The Immortals!

Jeff Hardy Vs. Kurt Angle never happen in TNA to my knowledge and based on both athletes skills then it would be a PPV that would definetely capture a lot of PPV's buys.

MVP To Win Intercontental Title and Have a Long Reign and Maybe As a Heel!

The reason why I'm throwing this one out there is because MVP got new attire, momentum and also new theme music so something good has to come out of all this.

The reason why I said as a heel because he had two matches against Ziggler for the title but ended up losing on both occasions. As a face.

I always wondered why the WWE never swapped the title but I think it may be beacause they want another face to win the title (Kofi or Show) and then have MVP resort to some dirty tactics to win it against the odds and in the process turn heel again.

MVP as a heel was miles better on the mic and was utilized way better by the promotion. As a heel or a face MVP always had good in-ring skills.

The reason why I said he will have a decent, long reign is because he had very good reigns while he was the Tag Team Champion with Matt Hardy and also as the United States Champion in his first reign.

MVP has undoubted skills and it is so aggravating to see guys like Heath Slater and Big Show surpass him in getting more chances at PPV's and also with the titles and main event picture.

When MVP was drafted to RAW last year I was delighted as I though he was destined for a push but my thoughts turned out to be wrong, disappointingly.

David Arquette To Be The Guest Star On RAW.

I know that there is a very good chance that you reading this are pissed off that I even mentioned this idiots name but Iam just a little bit shocked that WWE have not done this already as he ticks all the boxes for want as their guest host on the main brand.

Big name, Connection with the business and of course (sigh) he is a former World Champion.

If this happens there will be outrage with the Internet Wrestling Community but I just want to say something...

Brace yourself!

John Cena To Win at Least Two World Titles and The Elimination Chamber.

I think by the Royal Rumble comes "Juan Cena" will be history and the Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton stipulation match will be a distant memory.

So the chances of Cena winning the Chamber and upping his profile again are sky high... as always knowing the WWE and if he does that then that means that is one title in the bag for him.

As for the defence of that title at WrestleMania would hopefully end up in Undertaker and John Cena being in some sort of match but as I mentioned in the Taker slide it is not likely with Taker's ongoing injury problems.

As for who else Cena can feud with, I would be delighted to see him feud with guys other than the likes of Orton and Edge.

We have seen Cena in matches so many times with these guys so maybe WWE should try a new route and give see some new material.

Cena has never engaged in major feuds with The Miz, Swagger, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk or even long time WWE star Kane so maybe WWE should try and mix Cena up with some of these guys instead of us having to sit through a thousand more matches against Sheamus or Orton who he has had so much beef with recently.
