Most Awesome Haircut Designs in Sports
Watching sports on television is a great way to live vicariously through another. You can live the high and lows of your favorite athlete. But it is also a great way to applaud some choices that you might think are awesome but would personally ever attempt.
I am talking about the fine art of the haircut design. Here are the best and most odd in sport.
10. Ronaldo: Brazil
1 of 10
During the 2002 World Cup, Ronaldo sported the worst hair design ever. It is as if he went to his barber and said give me the lamest thing you can think of. But please, do not think very hard.
9. Lamar Odom: Los Angeles Lakers
2 of 10
This is the dome of Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom. He was sporting the star a couple of seasons ago to put people on notice that he was going to make the All-Star team.
It didn't quite work out that way. But you are an excellent sixth man Lamar.
8. Ron Artest: Los Angeles Lakers
3 of 10
Ron Artest is a coo-coo bird. He has said as much. Here he is sporting the Tru Warrior look. I have no idea if I should deduct points for spelling errors or not. I am guessing it is flawed by design.
7. Anthony Mason: New York Knicks
4 of 10
Anthony Mason would sport a new head design almost weekly. Here he is giving much props to the man upstairs.
It did not do anything for his reputation. It looks like John Starks is struggling to take him seriously.
6. Jacoby Jones: Houston Texans
5 of 10
Classy, understated, team driven, I have to say I like this one. Way to put the team first. No reason to go out there with a flashy haircut. That's what "I" guys do. You keep doing you, Jacoby Jones.
5. Dennis Rodman: Chicago Bulls
6 of 10
While Anthony Mason may have been the pioneer of the hair design, Dennis Rodman was it's rock star. He sued loud designs and colors to irk more than to show. Getting pushed around in the low post by someone with glowing hair can ruin a day.
4. Ron Artest: Los Angeles Lakers
7 of 10
Ron Artest will do anything to psyche himself up. He will even go into the stands so watch out expensive ticket holders. Here we have the Lakers basket case doing the sanest thing he has ever done. He cut the Hebrew and Japanese characters meaning "defense" into his head. He did this because, well, why not?
3. Russell Westbrook: Oklahoma City Thunder
8 of 10
Back when he was at UCLA, Westbrook rocked the flaming Mohawk. It is bad enough trying to cover the speedster but when he is head is on fire it is something else entirely.
2. Paul Jones: Wales
9 of 10
Welsh goalie Paul Jones has his number on his head. That is not why he is number two on the list. No, it is the freaking dragon that sit right next to the number. That haircut could win a bar fight.
1. Tracy Porter: New Orleans Saints
10 of 10
When the Saints played the Seahawks a couple of weeks ago, corner back Tracy Porter took his helmet off. What followed were smiles and amazement.
His barber meticulously carved the character of Stewie from Family Guy into Porter's head. I can get behind making your dome into a jack-o-lantern if it is as intricate as this take.
