My Thoughts Exactly: What Happened To the Era of Awesome?
When The Miz won the WWE Title last week, I wasn't surprised. Creative left signs throughout the whole night of a cash in.
From Miz's "anxiety" attack to Orton guaranteeing Barrett wouldn't walk out the WWE Champion, everything was just so obvious. Personally, I hated the fact that Creative would pick RAW instead of a big PPV.
That wasn't my only problem. When Miz won, people literally began losing their minds. Comparing him to the likes of Edge, RVD and of all people The Rock. They said it was a new era in the WWE. The Era of Awesome. While they chose to live in their false hopes and dreams, I recognized the events to come.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
I soon realized I jumped to conclusions. I hadn't given Miz one night as champion. Basically I wrote him off. So I decided to give Creative a chance. Examine where they would take this situation. Tonight proved my first assumptions correct.
When Miz came out tonight and delivered the "I made it promo" I was utterly disgusted. Didn't we see the exact same promo after he got the cover of WWE Magazine? Almost the exact same words for God sakes.
As I sat and watched RAW, some things were becoming very familiar to me.
Lets see here, MITB Cash in on injured champion. Taunted celebration for the champion afterwards. Then defends the WWE Title in a TLC Match. Against a Hall of Famer. If you haven't already remembered, it seems as if the WWE was trying to copy their past success.
Their success with Rated R Superstar, Edge. The signs are all there people. Edge defended his WWE title against Ric Flair in a TLC Match. Flair came shockingly close to winning but was prevented due to interference by Lita. Alex Riley and Michael Cole helped Miz retain the WWE Title.
It's been going on for months now. Like Edge said himself, the WWE is making Miz a Edge wannabe.
Is that something MizFits are proud of? Your hero can't best a Commentator in a TLC match? Don't throw the heel/face crap at me because I guarantee none of you agreed with the way things went tonight. I don't see the reason the WWE Title was put on Miz this early.
But once again I may be wrong. Perhaps it's too early to decide. But I personally believe the start is a prelude to the end. History tends to repeat itself. The Miz will become a transitional champion.
That's not Awesome.
Apologize. These were thought's lingering in my mind after tonight. No pre planning was involved.
