John Morrison Should Be in the Main Event at the Royal Rumble
Everyone has been waiting for John Morrison to take his spot in the main event. With his muscular build, dazzling offensive moves and solid lines fed by the writers, it seemed only inevitable that Morrison would eventually make his way to the top.
The Royal Rumble is the perfect time for that to happen.
When the Miz won the WWE title, everyone started searching for potential opponents for the new champ. Morrison happens to be on that list.

With the Royal Rumble match itself being such a strong selling point, WWE can experiment a little bit with the WWE title matches.
Keep in mind that this is the same pay-per-view where we saw Mr. Kennedy challenge Batista for the title. It is also the event where Hardcore Holly challenged Brock Lesnar for the belt.
This is the perfect event to test out Morrison in the main event title match. He can challenge the Miz for the WWE title. There's enough of a history behind the two that the creative team doesn't have to do much to come up with a good storyline. The promos also write themselves in this program.
While some would argue that it would be better for Morrison to be in the Royal Rumble match, it really isn't. With 29 other wrestlers involved in the match, it can be easy for Morrison to be overshadowed.
He's certainly not ready to headline a Wrestlemania, so winning the Royal Rumble would be out of the question.
There aren't that many opportunities to give a mid-card wrestler a shot at the big title, but the Royal Rumble happens to be one of them.
