Mix It Up: Dream Matches for King of the Ring

This past week, the 8 WWE Superstars set to take part in the King of The Ring Tournament. The competitors as are followed.

RAW

Sheamus defeated R-Truth.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Alex Riley

Daniel Bryan defeated Ted Dibiase Jr.

John Morrison defeated Tyson Kidd.

Smackdown!

Alberto Del Rio defeated Big Show

Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio

Drew McIntyre defeated MVP

Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger

These eight individuals are set to mix it up this Monday. Question is against who? Could RAW Superstars take on other RAW Superstars? Maybe the WWE will mix it up with interbrand matches. I considered the possibility and have come up with great scenarios.

WWE has some solid matches here. Question is... Will they capitalize?

WARNING: After watching the last KOTR, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a shocker here. Regal wasn't on a push and the obvious favorite Y2J lost in the second round. 

Sheamus vs Drew McIntyre

The Sinister Scotsman vs The Celtic Warrior. What are the odds? This match screams interesting to me. It has that "glow" about it that makes it stand out. If you've observed McIntyre and Sheamus matches this past year, you would notice their in ring style.

Both are ruthless individuals. Both also use the heel persona.

How could you not be interested?!

While Drew maybe a little more aggressive then Sheamus, he has yet to be World Champion. Sheamus has won the WWE Title... Twice.

You also may not know that these two have feuded in the past. In FCW. Way before we knew who they were. Surprisingly enough, McIntyre came out on top in most of the encounters. Add those great matches to the King of The Ring tournament and a live audience, the possibilities are endless.

I'm having a hard time guessing who would win? Who do you think?

Daniel Bryan vs Alberto Del Rio

The Lebell Lock vs the Armbar? Doesn't get much better than that. Del Rio is arguably Smackdowns next big thing. He's only been on the roster a few months and has amassed victories of Rey Mysterio, Big Show, and John Morrison.

Now Del Rio maybe Smackdowns! brightest star, Daniel Bryan is WWE's hottest Superstar. This guy has been on a roll. Beating all challengers to his U.S. Title including Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. He's also beat your WWE Champion multiple times.

Everytime Bryan has a match you automatically know it's the best of the night. Only rivaled by Smackdown Star Kaval.

The over the top cockiness of Del Rio and Bryan's unique offense would definitely go as an eye raiser.

John Morrison vs Kofi Kingston

Kingston's controlled frenzy vs Morrison's parkour. Since I'm a huge fan of the high-flying style, this match would immediately strike interest in me. I mean, how often do we see face vs face matches. Not very much. I remember this last King of the Ring. CM Punk vs Y2J.

While both were fan favorites, everyone expected Y2J to come out with the win. Shocking when Punk pinned Jericho to win. It was the best match of the last King of the Ring.

Can we see a repeat here? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Kofi were to win this tournament. Look at Regal. He wasn't on a push. No one gave him a chance to win. When he defeated CM Punk in the finals, it shocked us all.

If this match were to happen, I would rank it 2nd best to whoever Daniel Bryan is facing.

Cody Rhodes Vs Alberto Del Rio

A little Smackdown! vs Smackdown!.

This match would interest me. Know why? Because Del Rio and Rhodes both play the heel persona's and their gimmicks have some distinct similarities. Both are extremely cocky while Del Rio call's himself royalty and prides himself on being upper class.

Rhodes is basically a pretty boy. Ever since he was voted the most handsome Superstar by the WWE Diva's, Rhodes has become obsessed with his appearance. While most people would hate him because of this, I find it funny and entertaining.

Those weekly tips are hilarious. Not to mention his constant protection of his face during a match. Especially Survivor Series.

Overall both are very talented wrestlers. Sooner or later they'll have to take on one another on Smackdown! Why not this Monday? I would be eager to observe this match.

Other Match Possibilites

John Morrison vs Drew McIntyre, Del Rio, or Rhodes: Seen em all before. Matter of fact, we've seen all of them this year. Wouldn't interest me much because Morrison came out on the losing end in each match.

Sheamus vs Del Rio: Now this is an eye widener. Heel vs Heel. Future World Champions for god sakes. I would've included this an the main slideshow but Del Rio already had two spots.  I would expect brutal offense by both men but it would be tough guessing the winner.. Your prediction?

Drew McIntyre vs Cody Rhodes: The Former Tag Team Champions seemed on the verge of a feud a few weeks ago. While things have seemed to die down, I wouldn't be far-fetched for this match to happen. I predict one of these guys to be face very soon. Question is which one?

Ezekiel Jackson vs Sheamus: Powerhouse vs Monster Heel. I don't exactly know if Jackson is heel or face. Because his matches feature him vs heel's and he's always smiling I guess he is a face. Jackson can be sloppy and botchy. It would be interesting but overall not a very good match.

Daniel Bryan vs Anyone: Your opinion may differ but everytime Bryan has a match I enjoy it. No matter who his opponent is the potential is great. An interesting twist would be him vs Morrison. Both are currently on pushes and play the face role.
