King Morrison and Golden Miz: The Rise of the Greats

After the events in the WWE this week, I had to write about this topic. This topic really hit home. The Winds of Change are blowing, and two of my favorite Superstars are right at the center.

Monday Night.

I'm sitting at home when the King of The Ring tournament commences.  Bringing back found memories of guys like William Regal, Stone Cold, Edge, and Bret Hart—I was even more excited when I learned of who the competitors were.

After watching qualifying matches where Sheamus, Ezekiel Jackson, and Daniel Bryan succeeded to the next round. My thought's of Sheamus were immediately overtaken by the man he lost to at Survivor Series, John Morrison.

For all of those who said Morrison was going to be Sheamus stepping stone.... Bet you feel awkward now that the feud is seemingly over.

I waited briefly to see the next competitors. Easily predicting four RAW Superstars and four Smackdown! Superstars would take part. There was still one more spot for a RAW Superstar.

When Tyson Kidd turned on DH Smith last week I predicted big things for his future. But not just yet. When Morrison entered for the match, Commentators drowned out his pop from Orlando. Killing the argument that fan's aren't into him.

A decent match between two great competitors. When it was all said and done, Kidd fell to the Starship Pain. Much to the delight of the Orlando audience. First step down, other competitors to go.

Before the night was out, The Miz was the WWE Champion.

Awesome.

Might have been a little too early but surprised nonetheless. It did my heart great to see my favorite tag team rising their stocks.. One is one his way to being KOTR... The other is the WWE Champion.

The question we all want to know is: will their path's cross? If I'm not mistaken, The King of the Ring usually receives a World Title match afterwards. If not, the huge push that comes with it.

Sooner or later... I predict this to be the premiere feud in the WWE. If planned out correctly, maybe even a Wrestlemania title match? Only time will tell. In the mean time, the biggest Morrison mark ever will observe in the background.
