WWE: The 10 Best Mug Shots Ever

Steven ConeyNov 17, 2010

Pro Wrestling and WWE in particular have been no strangers to the dreaded mug shot.

I'm not sure if it's the same with everybody, but wrestlers always seem to look stupidly funny in them.

The most recent wrestler to suffer the embarrassment of the mug shot is Alex Riley. Granted, it wasn't that bad, but even the best of these look awful.

I decided to dig deep and find the 10 best (or should it be worst) mug shots from wrestlers past and present.

Enjoy!

10. Alex Riley

1 of 11

As mentioned in the opening slide, the most recent wrestler to be arrested is Alex Riley.

The protégé of The Miz was stopped this morning in Tampa, Fla., and subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

He was arrested hours later with a $500 bond. Looking at the other mug shots, it seems as if Riley got off lightly.

9. Jeff Hardy

2 of 11

Hardy was arrested September of last year, just after leaving WWE.

"The Charismatic Enigma" is now the TNA World Heavyweight Champion but complications over his trial still loom.

TNA seem confident that Hardy won't receive any prison time which is surprising considering the cops found 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine, and items of drug paraphernalia from his home in North Carolina.

I've no idea what they are either, but it obviously landed him in a lot of trouble. His mug shot wasn't very flattering, either...

8. The Sandman

3 of 11

This would be worse but let's face it, Sandman looked like this most of the time.

He was arrested in 2008 after starting a fight at a party for Captain Lou Albano. Sandman and employees at the restaurant where the party was, began to throw glass bottles at each other: hence the big plaster on his forehead.

The Sandman pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. He was fined $1,000 and had to pay a $200 court charge.

7. Chris Jericho

4 of 11

Chris Jericho was arrested along with Gregory Helms, otherwise known as The Hurricane.

The pair were arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place in Kentucky. Luckily for Y2J, he doesn't look too bad in the mug shot.

Both men were released shortly after they handed over a $120 bond.

6. Ric Flair

5 of 11

"The Nature Boy" isn't doing much stylin' and profilin' in this mug shot.

Flair was arrested in 2005 after a road rage incited in Charlotte, N.C. Flair allegedly got out of his car, grabbed a motorist by the neck and kicked the door of the motorist's vehicle.

He was charged with injury to personal property and simple assault.

The arrest was then ridiculed famously on WWE RAW by Edge.

5. The Big Show

6 of 11

Big Show won't like pictures like this still being seen on the Internet. Maybe he should have thought about that before he got arrested.

Show, often labeled as a gentile giant, was taken in after allegedly exposing himself at a hotel in Tennessee in 1998.

4. Scott Hall

7 of 11

Scott Hall has had more mug shots than you've had hot dinners. Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration but still.

Hall looks a bit like an out of work Krusty the Clown impersonator in this mug shot, which has got to be his worst, and yes, that does take a lot.

This was taken after his latest arrest whilst he was still employed by TNA. Hall didn't realise he was though and when asked what his occupation was, Hall responded with "unemployed wrestler."

Either Hall is psychic or TNA finally got sick of his stupid behaviour and fired him a month later.

"Da Bad Guy" was drunk and became aggressive outside of a bar. When the police arrived at the bar, Hall was cursing the staff.

After being fired from TNA, Hall entered WWE sponsored rehab and recently left. He was also recently fitted with a pacemaker and joking aside, let's hope he finally sorts himself out for good.

3. Wade Barrett

8 of 11

If you're like me when you first saw this picture, you'll be sitting there thinking: "Who the hell is that?"

It's none other than potential new WWE Champion,Wade Barrett. He looks like he's wearing a wig, hasn't shaved and is weighing a bit more than he does now. Not Barrett's most flattering picture.

He was arrested in June 2008 after being charged with battery on a police officer and also obstructing an officer. The arrest took place outside a bar at 2 a.m. in Tampa, Fla.

Barrett was released the next day and the charged were subsequently dropped.

2. Lex Luger

9 of 11

Luger was always a bit of a loose cannon inside the ring and he's no different outside it.

Much like Hall, Luger is no stranger to the police. Back in 2003, he was arrested for domestic assault against his girlfriend Miss Elizabeth. He was also arrested for Driving Under the Influence and taken in on 14 counts of drug possession. He plead guilty and received probation.

In 2005, Luger was removed from a plane along with fellow wrestlers Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner. The three men were detained but Bagwell and Steiner were soon released. Luger was kept in because he had not told his parole officer he was leaving the country.

Luger was finally sentenced to nine weeks in jail and was released in February 2006. Not before this scary looking mug shot had been taken. Although we're used to scary from Luger, well you are if you've seen that promo.

He has since found God and is a self-proclaimed born-again Christian. Hopefully this will help Luger stay out on the right side of the law.

1. Booker T

10 of 11

Booker T seems like a nice enough man, but he has a shady past that not many people know about.

Before Booker got involved in the wrestling business, he worked at a Wendy's restaurant in Houston. He has been working there for two and a half years when he and his partners committed the armed robberies.

Police suspected it was an inside job and Booker and the other offenders were soon found and charged.

Booker plead guilty in December 1987 two aggravated robbery counts and was sentenced to five years in prison. However, he only actually served 19 months of that term.

Since then, Booker has crafted out a fantastic career for himself and has put his past behind him.

He certainly looks extremely happy for somebody who has just been arrested...

Honourable Mentions

Many, many wrestlers have tried to fight the law. And most of the time, it ends up in hilarious mug shots.
