NFL Power Rankings: Regular Season Week 10 From The Sports Mac

Jay McAnanyNov 16, 2010

1. Atlanta Falcons (LW: 2): The come from behind win over the Ravens wasn’t pretty, but it was a big step toward possible NFC home field advantage.

2. New York Jets (LW: 5): The last two weeks have been pretty ugly, but in the end its two wins that keep them at the top of the AFC.

3. New Orleans Saints (LW: 6): How they come off the bye with a division leader coming to town will be important.

4. Indianapolis Colts (LW: 7): This team got some help last weekend to retake the AFC South lead; now can they hold on to it?

5. New England Patriots (LW: 9): So, which is the real Patriots? The ones who were blown out in Cleveland or played so well in Pittsburgh?

6. Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 10): If Michael Vick can stay healthy, this might be the team to beat in the NFC.

7. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 1): It was a nice comeback in Atlanta; you need to be able to finish it off, however.

8. New York Giants (LW: 3): Just when you thought they were ready to be the NFC favorite, they pull out an absolute clunker against the Cowboys.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 4): It’s hard to tell if this Steelers team is as good as everyone says; they seem to be a little overrated to me.

10. Green Bay Packers (LW: 8): They’ll have to get off to a fast start coming off the bye week with the Bears having tied them for the division lead.

11. San Diego Chargers (LW: 14): Amazingly, they’ve started to turn it around again in a still winnable AFC West.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 15): This team is falling into the category of being too young to know they aren’t supposed to be this good.

13. Miami Dolphins (LW: 16): It took three quarterbacks, but they were able to keep themselves in the division race for another week.

14. Tennessee Titans (LW: 11): Randy Moss will be unhappy now because he doesn’t have any healthy QBs to get him the ball.

15. Oakland Raiders (LW: 12): Now firmly entrenched in the AFC West race after the Chiefs stumbles last weekend.

16. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 13): This team continues to be feast or famine and they need to be careful after being blown out in Denver.

17. Chicago Bears (LW: 20): I’m sure they’ll take Farve handing the win last week and it’s got them in the division race for the rest of the year.

18.  San Francisco 49ers (LW: 22): While it wasn’t the prettiest win of the year, it does keep them within striking distance of the NFC West lead.

19. Houston Texans (LW: 17): That could be a spirit breaking loss last week, we’ll see the makeup of this team from here on.

20. Seattle Seahawks (LW: 25): While parts of the year have been ugly, they have equaled last year’s win total and that should count for something.

21. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 26): With now two miracle finishes on the year, this team is really starting to believe it has something special.

22. Washington Redskins (LW: 18): Wonder how Donovan McNabb feels about his new deal after getting blown out by 31 points?

23. Dallas Cowboys (LW: 28): It may only be one week, but they looked liked the team they could be.

24. Minnesota Vikings (LW: 19): I think we can now put them in the category of preseason NFC favorites who failed miserably.

25. Denver Broncos (LW: 29): 151 points between both teams in the last two home games; what’s the over/under for when St. Louis shows up Nov. 28th?

26. St. Louis Rams (LW: 21): Yes, they fought hard on the road, but you just cannot give a game away like they did in San Francisco.

27. Cleveland Browns (LW: 23): Another good performance by Colt McCoy done in by a bad coaching decision and bad tackling in overtime.

28. Detroit Lions (LW: 24): Now, this team is starting to look like it is regressing over the past few weeks.

29. Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 27): Marvin Lewis will take a defensive coordinator’s job in the offseason because he’s not going to last in this one.

30. Buffalo Bills (LW: 32): Finally, something for this team and coach to build on coming off of the first win of the year.

31. Arizona Cardinals (LW: 31): When you give up 36 points to a team that had scored 10 combined in its last 2 games, you’re in the perfect spot on this list.

32. Carolina Panthers (LW: 30): Averaging less than 10 points a game the last 3 weeks with Baltimore coming to town this weekend; not good.
