Week 11 Fantasy Football Running Backs: Who To Pick Up, Drop and Ignore

Patrick Scott PattersonNov 16, 2010

It's that time of year again.  Most fantasy leagues now have only three or four weeks left before the fantasy playoffs begin, meaning it's time to make a lot of tough roster decisions.

Key injuries can be killer as playoff seedings are decided.  Some of you might already have clinched a spot, but now have to consider the possibility of some of your superstars being benched in the final NFL games of the season as starters are rested.

Here are some running backs who might be on your radar screen as these moves are made going into Week 11.

Pick-ups

Felix Jones, Dallas Cowboys

Jason Garrett's coaching seems willing and able to do what Wade Phillips was not able to do for Felix.

Jones has always been an explosive player, but has never seen the touches and situations he's needed to.

Starting at running back on Sunday, Felix Jones gained 122 total yards and a touchdown, including a 71-yard catch and run.

Felix is available in a whopping 44 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills

Jackson's value the rest of this season should be far higher with C.J. Spiller's hamstring injury.  He was already seeing more carries anyway.

Jackson is still out there in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Reggie Bush, New Orleans Saints

Bush is reportedly ready to go this Sunday against Seattle.  A must-own in all formats, especially PPR leagues.

Bush apparently got dropped a lot while he was out.  He is out there this morning in 39 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Ignore

Keiland Williams, Washington Redskins

Williams was the only real bright spot for Washington on Monday night, and looked good doing it.

With Clinton Portis and Ryan Torain close to returning from injuries, however, it's hard to expect Williams seeing this many touches again this year.

Ryan Torain, Washington Redskins

A lot of people are dropping Torain today after he was unable to go on Monday night.

Don't dump him.  He'll likely see less touches from here, but he's too dynamic to cast aside yet.

Drop/Trade Bait

C.J. Spiller, Buffalo Bills

Spiller will officially go down as one of 2010's biggest fantasy busts.

A dynamic player, Spiller failed to see near enough carries for fantasy relevance already.  Now he's injured his hamstring as well.

This late in the fantasy year there are too many available players who deserve a fantasy roster spot on your team to keep a disappointing player around.

Chris Ivory, New Orleans Saints

Between Bush returning and Ivory injuring his shoulder, there isn't much reason to keep him around right now.

Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks

Lynch was horrid on Sunday, averaging only 2.2 yards a carry.  He has been hard to rely on all year.
