NFL Power Rankings Week 10: Focus on the New Orleans Saints
At my site—www.GuysNation.com—I do a weekly power ranking of all 32 NFL teams. It's a hugely subjective process in which I try to account for a team's strength of schedule, margin of victory, good wins and bad losses.
Where do the New Orleans Saints currently rank?
In Week 7, they lost to a very low ranked Cleveland Browns. In New Orleans. Not good.

That was before the Browns started showing considerable life. Now that Cleveland is nearing the middle of the league, having beaten the New England Patriots, that loss by the Saints doesn't look so terrible anymore.
The win by New Orleans in Week 8 against the Steelers was big, and it made the Saints seem like they may very well be almost back to Super Bowl form.
In Week 9 it continues. Are the Carolina Panthers the worst team in the NFL? Quite possibly. Should teams be proud of wins over John Fox's team? Most of them shouldn't, but the Week 9 win for the Saints was good.
I have this theory about division games. No matter what the records of the two teams might be, when you have a division game either one can come out of the contest a victor. So for the Saints to go into Carolina and beat the Panthers (an NFC South divisional foe, for those not in "the know"), that's a big deal. Especially due to the margin of victory.
How did that outcome factor into the power rankings?
For the complete rankings and analysis, check out the article on my website, www.GuysNation.com! Unlike Power Rankings you see elsewhere, your comments could help persuade me to rank your team better after Week 10!
