Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings: Wide Receivers
Week 9 in the NFL was filled with "expected" performances, "unexpected" performances and "where did that come from?" performances.
New York Giants second-year receiver Hakeem Nicks performed as expected, producing six receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown against a mediocre Seattle Seahawks secondary. Veteran Terrell Owens of the Cincinnati Bengals had one of the biggest unexpected performances when he posted 10 receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense widely considered among the best in the league. The "Where did that come from?" performance was shared by two players: San Diego Chargers wideout Seyi Ajirotutu and Jacoby Ford of the Oakland Raiders.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Ajirotutu had four receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns for 23 fantasy points, while Ford had six receptions for 148 yards and 20 fantasy points. Ajirotutu's and Ford's performances are especially surprising when you consider that the two had a combined total of seven fantasy points in Week 8. We have yet another week of NFL parity. Now let’s take a look at the "Fantasy Football Week 10 Wide Receiver Rankings."
**RANKINGS BASED ON STANDARD SCORING - 1 POINT PER 25 PASSING YARDS, 1 POINT PER 10 YARDS RUSHING/RECEIVING, 4 POINTS ALL PASSING TOUCHDOWNS, -2 POINTS ALL TURNOVERS**
1. Andre Johnson (Houston Texans) @ Jacksonville Jaguars
A.J. had a disappointing four catches for 41 yards against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. The Houston Texans had the running game rolling on Sunday (140 rushing yards and two touchdowns), therefore no Houston Texans’ receiver had more than four receptions.
Johnson’s touchdown streak ended at two games. Expect A.J. to start a new touchdown streak against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed the second-most touchdowns (12) and the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers (27.3) this season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive backs are going to look silly come Sunday, courtesy of No. 80.
Point Projection: 19 points
2. Hakeem Nicks (New York Giants) vs. Dallas Cowboys
Nicks had another fantastic game in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks. He had six receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown.
Through his eight games played, Nicks is the No. 6 most targeted wide receiver in the NFL with 84 looks and he has the most touchdowns (nine) of any wide receiver. Nicks is probably salivating at the thought of another matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.
In their first meeting in Week 7, he hauled in nine receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns. He shouldn’t find it hard to garner another score against the down-and-out Cowboys, who have allowed 13 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season. Look for Nicks to once again produce "big time" for his fantasy owners.
Point Projection: 17 points
3. Terrell Owens (Cincinnati Bengals) @ Indianapolis Colts
The T.O. train kept on rolling in Week 9. This time against the Pittsburgh Steelers, hauling in 10 receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
Owens has been the most targeted wide receiver (12.5) in the NFL this season and has a ridiculous seven touchdowns over the last five games. The Indianapolis Colts have allowed 19.1 fantasy points and only five touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season, but they have allowed 14 yards per catch and 42 fantasy points to wide receivers over the last two games.
Owens has been unstoppable over his last four games and there is little reason to believe that he won't produce in this one. He'll certainly receive enough targets to make it happen.
Point Projection: 17 points
